A very loving memorial museum - I’ve been fascinated by this event since the movie Alive came out in 1993. When I learned there was a memorial museum in Montevideo it was on my must see list. The museum is in a fairly small building so tickets help manage crowd size. Exhibits are in the basement, main floor and an upper gallery. The museum includes a memorial gallery to those who died in the crash, information on hypothermia as well as artifacts from the crash. A guide was present to answer questions and help us into the simulator giving us an example of the darkness and temperature the team experienced after the avalanche. The informative video and displays included English which I really appreciated. Photos were not encouraged.

Imperdible!!! - Excellent experience that is totally worth it. A well-organized museum with plenty of details about the plane crash with the Uruguayan rugby team in the Andes in 1972. There is an excellent explanatory video and interviews with those involved in the accident at the beginning of the visit to explain the details of the accident. There is also a camera that simulates the cold conditions that the accused had to endure after the accident in which the visitor can enter and literally feel the difficulty on the skin for 73 seconds.

Overwhelming and unmissable - An overwhelming experience, although the story is known, it is impressive to live it from the same protagonists. Don’t miss the videos and go through the cold simulator to get a faint idea of what they had to go through.

Incredible experience - I wanted to mto visit this museum, after watching the movies and read mto about. Tickets we bought there at the entrance, at hr msm, without difficulty. It's amazing everything that's in there, every story. They were doing a "simulator" about the weather conditions the survivors lived, but it was not yet ready unfortunately

Enter the temperature simulator. - An exciting and unforgettable experience at the Andes Museum 1972 The visit to the Andes Museum in 1972 was much more than just an exhibition space: it was a human dive, loaded with respect, memory and reflection. The preserved items from the 1972 air crash convey not only the dimension of the tragedy, but also the impressive strength of resilience, solidarity and the ability to survive in the face of the unimaginable. The Mood of the museum is organized impeccably, with careful curation and narrative that balances information, emotion and absolute respect for victims and survivors. The experience is conducted in a profound, touching and very respectful way, making each visitor reflect on the fragility and, at the same time, the strength of the human being. Without a doubt, it is a place that marks the memory of those who visit. I strongly recommend to everyone who is in Montevideo: the Andes Museum 1972 is a place of living memory, learning and humanity.

Excellent Museum - We loved it. We wanted to go a long time ago and finally today we could visit him. We had the experience in the cold room which was spectacular. They have many original things about the accident and it is very interesting all the information they provide. Excellent activity and very good work to remember and keep in mind this tragedy.
