Interesting and informative museum about the 1972 Andes plane crash. - This museum is about a 20 minute walk from the cruise terminal located near independence square. The museum tickets were $8 US per person. It opens Mon-Fri 10:00-17:00 and Sat 10:00-15:00. There is a cold simulator that you can experience that you endure for 72 seconds at minus 20 degrees Celsius. There are lots of exhibits over three floors and the exhibit descriptions are in both Spanish and English. An excellent museum and just shows the human instinct for survival. A must do when in Montevideo.

Impermeable! - A must-see museum to know this real history of the struggle for survival. For those who have seen "Vivos" and read and seen "The Society of Snow", the visit to the museum is an indispensable complement to dive into this fact and see how resilience, faith and union are very important in these moments.

A beautiful and humbling experience - An incredibly moving and beautiful experience. To see items such as the expeditionaries' makeshift mittens, Roy Harley's radio, Coco Nicolich's letters, and photos of Liliana Methol with her children is an incredibly humbling experience that drives home just how brave, intelligent, thoughtful and loving the passengers of Flight 571 were. I highly recommend this museum to everyone traveling through Montevideo.

Excellent - I was pleased to meet the museum. As a Mexican who since childhood, in 1978 we met this accident by a Mexican film, who at that time cared for the anonymity of the participants and now that in the snow society the name of each survivor is released, it has been an honor to travel to know this museum.

Andes museum - Heart wrenching to see what they had to endure and overcome. To survive in such harsh conditions with nowhere near enough supplies is mind blowing.
