Worth it - The guide was nice and funny with plenty of info about the animals. He helps you take the picture of the animals through the scope so it looks really clear! Probably best if you wear something relatively warm and a rain jacket since you move at a slow pace.

Captivating Refugio Night Tour with Leon - The Refugio night tour was of the best tours my girlfriend and I have ever been on. Our tour guide Leon was nothing short of phenomenal! His knowledge and passion for all the plants and animals we saw was inspiring and captivating. He spotted things one would never see from distances near and far and using his telescopic lense he ever so kindly and nimbly took excellent HDR photos with his iphone attached, and sent them all to us at the end of the tour. No question went unanswered or unexplained and he enjoyed every moment of the tour as much as we did, which made the entire experience even more captivating. We can't recommend this tour with Leon enough. I rarely write reviews but when someone and something was so good, it's a disservice to not share the love. Thank you Leon, an unforgettable captivating experience.

Such a great experience! Thank you Marco and Michael! - This was such a cool experience! Initially, my friend and I thought it would be a bit scary because we are in a rainforest at nighttime, but there are other groups nearby doing their tours. Plus, our guides, Marco and Michael, were hilarious! They were knowledgeable, and I appreciated that they worked hard to catch sight of as many animals as possible so we can get the most out of our experience. Our guides managed to make the whole experience fun by giving anecdotes and making things personalized. I liked that they were so patient with all the questions we had, but it was evident that they were passionate about what they do. Overall, it was such a great experience! Tip: Bring an umbrella and a raincoat, or at least clothes that can handle rain and drizzle, if you are going to go at this time of the year. I highly recommend this tour, and I also highly recommend Marco and Michael! Thank you again!

Huge tarantulas and bats having dinner. - We enjoyed the forest walk. We saw sleeping butterflies all lined up in a limb. We saw 2 toucans at rest, plenty of bats- it was amazing to watch 2 of them eating. A couple of tarantulas came out of their dens to say Hi and 2 very small frogs. Overall it was a great tour - the only thing I would say is that the group was too large. If you were at the back you couldn’t hear the excellent guide giving details about the animals. It also took a long time for each of us to get a glimpse thru the scope.

Must-do in Monteverde - Miguel was a funny and informative guide. We saw many different bugs, snakes frogs, sloths and more. The hike was moderate for those not used to climbing hills.
