I try to sign up for a food tour in new cities near where I'm visiting and Monterey seemed a good choice as I was visiting family in Santa Clara. A friend and I enjoyed the tour with Filippe, our tour guide. It was just the 3 of us, so it seemed like a private tour! Every stop was delightful and had a unique food that was delicious. Learning a little history of Old Monterey was interesting as well. I would definitely recommend this tour if you're visiting the Bay Area.

The food venues and tastings were a really good. We enjoyed the variety, but as a “Wine and Food Tour” we had expected to visit some wine tasting rooms. To only try a cider a a couple of wines was less than our expectation. A little disappointed in this area of the tour. I think you should have a questionnaire of your clients to determine what they are interested in for their tour and gear it toward those expectations or a blend of same. Overall, we enjoyed the history and visited a couple places the next day. Thank you, Casey!

More food locations would be great along downtown. I know it's a work in progress with it being a young company but throw in some Italian places (not pizza), BBQ, Mexican etc. More detailed instructions on where to meet would help as well. Maybe say 'park inside fisherman's warf and head to the custom house by the large flag pole near the rocks' Organize the restaurants according to distance from the meeting spot. This way, you don't come back all the way to the beginning to finish off the tour. Highlights were Revival (delicious bees knees), Epsilon (more filling plates would have been great, not just beans/salad) and the Jester! Overall it was a nice time. Keep at it with developing new partnerships with eateries around the area.
