Great Tour - I enjoyed every moment of the tour. It was amazing. We had best tour operator. Owen was one of the most courteous and professional drivers I've met. He kept us entertained with great reggae music and offered complimentary refreshment. We can't wait to visit again.

Overpriced death and destruction (with a bar) - The house is interesting and the tour was fine and informative - mostly about murder and mayhem in the building and around it. Very entertaining tour. A lot of references to Johnny Cash and she sang his song. My issue is the price. The tickets are $30 per person for the daytime tour. In my opinion that is way to expensive for what is offered. The Metropolitan Museum in New York City is $30 - this is not the Met. I would say that this is a $15-$18 experience at best. The house is owned by a private family in the United States, which is probably why it is so expensive. They have done a beautiful job in restoring the building from the ground up and getting some of the original furnishing returned and/or finding contemporaneous furnishings. The wall coverings are quite spectacular if you are into fabrics. There is also a neat bar in the dungeon, which is both interesting and disturbing. I suppose that this would be much more fun as a group than just a few people (there were four of us on the tour). I also felt like they were trying to sell us stuff at every opportunity - like Disney or something. Worth it if you are into plantation homes and ghost stories but probably not if neither of those things interest you.

Not clear on what was paid for - The experience itself inside the home was great however once i booked it it was very unclear that i did not have tickets to get inside the home so be careful when you purchase or pay for anything through viator. because i thought i was paying for a private tour And transportation and all actually that was included in my price was transportation. I selected private and paid but then when i arrived at the home they'd could not find my reservation so was very confusing and unclear on what exactly was paid for on my end. I had to pay to go on the tour With more than an additional ten people when i thought it was a private tour since i was traveling with my parents who cannot walk very well and was kind of holding everybody up. So please make sure you read exactly what your paying for and try to understand it before completing transactions.
