The tour starts in the primary, ancient section of the cloud forest and transitions to the newer secondary forest, providing a comprehensive view of the forest’s life cycles. Begin your journey with an exhilarating zipline tour over the canopy, offering breathtaking views of the cloud forest below. Next, rappel 150 feet down to the forest floor. A ladder system through the hollow core of an old tree will bring you back up into the treetops, and an optional Tarzan swing free-fall experience will take you back down. Guides will accompany you throughout the adventure to ensure your safety and enjoyment, as well as to answer any questions about the local ecosystem. At the end of your adventure, you will be dropped off back at your hotel or another specified location in Monteverde.

The Original Canopy Tour presents a thrilling opportunity to climb a Hollow tree, Rappel, Canopy Tour, Tarzan Swing, and a spectacular chance to glide high over the forest bed on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Here, you will experience the wilderness from an angle that was once exclusive to a special set of scientists and photographers. The entire setup has been established to maximize your excitement while always maintaining the forest’s integrity.

Just Amazing - Amazing experience and one of the highlights of the holiday , David and Fry our guides were great, a lot of fun , and they kept us extremely safe and helped anyone who was nervous , they were also really knowledgeable about the local area including the wildlife and the birds, we spotted Capuchin and Howler monkeys which was something we had not seen on any of our tours so that alone was worth it ! Zipping across the tops of the trees with the views will be a lasting memory for me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Good ziplining experience - We had a great time, I was a little nervous but the group we went with was awesome and the guides (Joseph and Keivar) were very nice and made it a fun time. The guides were clearly experienced and made us feel safe.
Overall the experience took 2-2.5 hours. The hike up to the ziplines and climbing up the tree/ladder gave us quite a workout. The climb up the tree is optional though.
We appreciated that transportation to and from our hotel was included in the fee.

So much fun! We booked a... - So much fun! We booked a 10am slot and got to the office around 9:15 as directed. They had lockers we were able to store our daypack in for the duration of the activity. We did not carry any cell phones with us but other members of our group did in pockets, fanny packs, or a phone lanyard and they did not have any issues with dropping phones, etc. One of the guides is also taking photos during the tour that you are able to buy at the end of the activity. We had four people in our group and it was $45 for all of our pictures. The Tarzan swing was such a fun way to start before getting an overview on safety and how to zipline. It starts with a few shorter lines to help everyone get the hang of how things work, then rappel and tree climb in the middle, before doing a few longer lines at the end! Great way to see the forest from up high and everyone had a ton of fun!
There are two parking lots down the hill from the reception office and there is a shuttle that will take you up/down the hill.

Zip line through a rainbow! - Our guides Elia and Brian were amazing! They were very knowledgeable and funny and did a wonderful job making us feel safe. We loved it so much. Can’t recommend enough. We zip lines through a rainbow over a lush valley. You can’t make that up!

Cool to try for adrenaline lovers - Daniel and Bryan were complete proffessionals, really sweet and funny as well. The other dude was deffinetly NOT nice, which also made me get scared towards the end.

Fabulous experience - This was amazing. We already did a zipline, but this one is a must when in costa rica. Not only do you fo 10 ziplines, but the tarzan swing is amazing. The guides were great and accomidated our large group well. We even had an 80 y/o who did all the ziplines.

5 star ziplining experience - Great guides, a nice and easy course, beautiful scenery - all in all, a really solid ziplining experience in the cloud forest.
What made this five stars though is the crew and operators/ guides. We were with Gerald and Flay. They were fun and personable. It felt more like being out on the course with friends.
This was also very manageable as an afternoon activity - about three hours, start to finish.

Fantastic Guides: Daniel and Bryan - Our guides Daniel and Bryan were fantastic! We've ziplined in other places in Costa Rica and this was by far the most diligent with safety and most fun! A great pace and good variety.
