Valerie and John were welcoming and kind. Valerie was knowledgeable and fun in the kitchen. We learned so much about cooking, even as a person who loves to cook, there were new things to think about. The wine was poured generously and laughter was frequent. And the end product, the food we made, was outstanding. This all led up to a nice dinner we ate together. I am completely satisfied with Bygone Basics and cannot wait to return for another cooking class.

This was, by far, one of the best classes i have taken. It was a friendly, warm, and personal atmosphere. We felt welcomed and the entirety of the class we were guided through the process when necessary but not hovered over. I felt like i was baking with my family more so than with a group of people I had only just met.

It was a great class and we had a great time! I learned a lot and came out with a delicious pie!

Valerie and John are awesome hosts. They are extremely friendly and make the experience very enjoyable. We learned a lot from Valerie about pies and other skills to use in the kitchen.
