The R62 Wine Route aligns with the Cape Route 62, a ‘tourist’ route that follows the less-traveled, shorter, and significantly more scenic regional R62 road from Cape Town, through the Klein Karoo and the Garden Route, to Port Elizabeth. There are opportunities to sample wines at various farms along this route.
Knysna - The journey continues until reaching Knysna, where the base is set for exploring the Garden Route area. With a plethora of attractions and activities, Knysna is a premier holiday destination in the Garden Route, South Africa. Robberg Nature Reserve - Visit Robberg Nature Reserve for hiking adventures. Choose from different trails, each offering unique beauty and scenery. The island adjacent to the peninsula is filled with lizards basking in the sun, while below, waves crash against the rocks, creating rainbows of water spray. The eastern side of the reserve, warmed by the sun, is home to many seals and dassies.
