Depart from Cape Town at 8am and journey along the R62 Wine Route to Knysna
R62 in the Klein Karoo - The R62 Wine Route is breathtaking, featuring charming small towns like Robertson, Montague, Wellington, and Oudtshoorn. The vineyards are picturesque, and the scenery is truly captivating.
Outeniqua Pass - This 13km pass through the majestic mountains is a highlight of the route. It includes 40 bends, corners, and curves, many exceeding 90 degrees, offering a spectacular view.
Wilderness - The route also passes through the town of Wilderness, a stunning location with homes nestled in the bush, offering a true wilderness experience.
Knysna - The first day’s final destination is Knysna, the heart of the Garden Route. Here, the group will spend three nights exploring the surrounding area.
After breakfast, head to Addo Elephant National Park for a day in the bush
Addo Elephant National Park - Following breakfast, the journey continues to Addo Elephant National Park for a day amidst wildlife, including Africa’s Big 5. As the third-largest game reserve in South Africa, it boasts the largest elephant population. A 4 to 5-hour game drive offers a chance to see the diverse wildlife.
Bloukrans Bridge - At Bloukrans Bridge, experience the world’s highest bungee jump at 216 meters, with an option for skywalking. This location is renowned for these thrilling activities.
After visiting Bloukrans Bridge, return to Knysna for the night.
On day 3, visit Robberg Nature Reserve, Plettenberg Bay Beaches, Knysna Heads & Quays Knysna Waterfront
Robberg Nature Reserve - Robberg Nature Reserve is a stunning blend of sea, mountains, beaches, and valleys, perfect for a 2-hour hike.
Plettenberg Bay - Just 30km from Knysna, Plettenberg Bay is a beautiful coastal town. Visitors can enjoy the famous white sandy beaches or dine at local restaurants.
Knysna Heads - The Knysna Heads are iconic, known as one of South Africa’s most recognized river mouths. The tour includes breathtaking views and photo opportunities.
The Waterfront Knysna Quays - No visit to the Garden Route is complete without exploring the renowned Knysna Waterfront, a top leisure and shopping destination with a superior marina and gateway for luxury cruises.
On day 4, the final day, depart from Knysna, heading to Hermanus, Benguela Cove Wine Estate, Betty’s Bay & Cape Town
Hermanus - Tour this beautiful seaside town, famous for whale watching. The Old Harbour Museum offers insights into the area’s fishing history and features a large whale skeleton exhibit. The region also boasts numerous vineyards.
Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate - From Hermanus, visit Benguela Cove Wine Estate for a world-class wine tasting experience at one of South Africa’s top wine producers. The estate focuses on premium wines and offers plenty to explore.
Betty’s Bay - Continue to Betty’s Bay to observe endangered African Penguins in their natural habitat, a truly remarkable experience.
Travel along the scenic Whale Route to Cape Town, concluding the tour around 6pm in the late afternoon.
