A great way to see just about everything! - Our lovely guide Mbula picked us up in our 4x4 safari vehicle at 8am ready for our 2 day safari.
From our hotel we drove 2.5hr to a souvenir shop/toilet break before entering the park.
During our 65km drive to our lodge, we managed to see the big 5 (other than rhino as there are so few left in the park and very rarely seen). The highlight was the beautiful leopard, simply lounging in a tree.
We were dropped off at the lodge around 2pm for a late lunch and to check in.
Our room was good and we could see the waterhole however the fan was not very effective and the room was very hot and stuffy.
At 4pm we went for a second slow drive through the park and had time to take pictures of the numerous birds as well as the animals.
Dinner was back at the lodge at 7pm....and then the excitement really began. Over the next 2hrs, we estimated around 100 elephants visited the waterhole, each group waiting patiently until the last group had finished. "Teenagers" charging through the water at the birds then going for a swim whilst families with their babies drank silently at the waters edge - all within a few feet of us. It was magical!
Exhausted, we collapsed into bed around 9.30pm.
Next morning, having had an early breakfast, we left the lodge at 7am and had a leisurely 4hr drive back through the park before taking a brief toilet break. Then it was on to the Masai village. Although very small (and expensive for what it was), it gave us an insight into their ways and culture.
After, we stopped for lunch before heading back to Mombasa, arriving around 2pm.
Although we had 2 extremely long and tiring days, it was a fantastic way to see just about every animal you could think of - tortoise, mongoose,ostrich, warthog, buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant, jackal, hippo, zebra, giraffe and a huge variety of antelope and birds.
Thanks Mbula for a great safari experience and one which we wont forget!

Safari - It was very nice to see all the animals so close, the Service was perfect and also the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable.

Brilliant 2 days! - Brilliant trip, our driver Joseph was lovely. We got a gift from the company at the start which was a nice touch. Being so close to the animals was amazing! We stayed at Voi Lodge, the watering hole was literally out the window and the elephants visited it frequently.

Overall an unforgettable experience. Animals and land you can’t see anywhere else - The trip was very well organised. We were picked up early in Mombasa and were in Tsavo by late morning. Out guide was knowledgable and managed to show us most of the incredible fauna. All of the “Big Five”, many different kinds of anelope and (this doesn’t get reoatked on much) the bird life.
Our accommodation was well chosen. Clean, nice food and right beside a watering hole.
Would definitely recommend.

The most incredible experience - Wow is all I can say. We’ve had the most amazing two days. Everything from communication with Jennifer, to pick up and tour with Joseph was fantastic. We had the truck to ourselves so it gives you so much room to move about. The hotel we stayed in was lovely and clean. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The food was fine but some improvements are needed. Lots of things had run out. I would recommend you have breakfast before starting the trip, as it’s a long time from collection to lunch. And take some snacks with you. Overall this was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable on the animals, and had a great set of eyes and spotted things we missed. We were lucky enough to see everything and he does his best to make that happen. On return I left my phone in his truck and both Jennifer and Joseph got it back to me. Doesn’t hesitate to book with this company. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

Amazing 5 star Safari! - Our guide was waiting for us right outside the gate of the cruise ship terminal with a sign and then proceeded to give us a gift. He drove us to Tsavo East and proceeded to take us on a morning game drive, he dropped us at Voi lodge for lunch and a nap. He picked us up again at 4:00 and we went on an evening game drive and watched the sunset over the Savannah, we then had dinner at the lodge and had a cocktail as animals and up to the lodge pond for a drink, we saw a Hippo, in the morning we had breakfast and the embarked on a morning game drive at 7:00 am where we saw a lion! This was the best Safari of our trip, our guide then took us to a Masai Mara Village to tour it, he was with us every step of the way and made us feel safe, He then dropped us back at the cruise terminal and waived down the Cruise shuttle to get us a ride back to the ship! This was a 5 star company and you need to do the overnight Safari

What a Safari! - Great safari. Bashir was an outstanding driver and helped us see some amazing safari sites. The resort was also good as was the food. (Just be prepared for the heat) We added the Maasai Village, which we learned much about how the Maasai people lived. Highly recommend African Memorable Safari.

We had a great private... - We had a great private tour of Tsavo with our guide Charlie who was an excellent driver, navigating not only traffic to the park but also the terrain of Tsavo. The Voi Wildlife Resort was convenient with an amazing watering hole overlooking the dining area for wildlife viewing and the outdoor pool was a welcome relief from the heat. All in all, a great experience.

Outstanding Safari! - We had a great time on this safari. The communication with the tour organizer, Jennifer, was excellent. She and the tour guide met us outside the gate of the port (we are cruising) to take us on our safari adventure. From almost the minute we entered Tsavo National Park, we started seeing animals. We saw lots of elephants and zebras, along with many other animals, including a pride of lions and giraffes. There were also many colorful birds. Our stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge was pleasant with good food and service. The room got a little warm at night as there is no air conditioning; it was helpful to have a portable fan. On the way back from our safari, we stopped at the Maasai village, which was an interesting cultural experience. Our guide was pleasant and helpful; he did his best to give us the best safari possible. I would highly recommend this tour as would the other six people who accompanied me.

Spectacular 2 day/ 1 night Safari in Tsavo East February 2015 - My family and one adult child, booked the 2 day 1 night safari in Tsavo East. We went on Safari February 19th -20th. I highly recommend to visit Kenya for their summer time - in the months of December - early March. This is the best time for viewing wildlife.
We didn't have enough time to stay on the safari more than the two days as we were in Kenya for only 8 days total. This trip was enough to capture the pictures and moments of a lifetime witnessing the natural beauty of Kenyan wildlife.
We met Bula, our tour guide, early morning at Saroyan White Sands Resort.
Right away, Bula was kind, cordial, pleasant, and shared many conversations with us during the whole trip. He took the time to answer all questions and shared many moments of Kenyan Culture and the wildlife. He was a reputable tour guide according to many other people and tour guides we spoke to at breaks between Tsavo East and Mombasa.
Booking the trip was easy and the trip went all smoothly. We stayed the night at the Voi Safari Lodge, and was impressed with the beauty, amenities, and location of the lodge.
My family (3 of us) highly recommend this company! Please see some of the pictures captured below, including a rare sight of a Cheetah, and two lionesses with a male on their "honeymoon."
