This was fantastic it is a must for all visitors - You get to see so much of the city in one day and learn the intricate history of this area . My guide went to the extra mile and was knowledgeable of all of the history. This was a great experience. A must-see.

Happy traveling solo woman! - Very good tour! Black Santa arrived on time and spent quality time with me at each location that we visited. He was also helpful in taking photos. He even went out of his way to take me to the market to get water before dropping me off at the hotel. I definitely recommend and will use his services again.

Disappointing! - We had booked the full day private Mombasa tour and excursions because it was also offered in German. Further decisive was the fact that it would be a private tour and we would explore the old and new city of Mombasa with a professional tour guide and a historian. Just see the description Now to the facts: We were picked up on time by a driver who spoke only English. When asked, he explained that the German-speaking guide is waiting in Mombasa. Arriving before the first point, Fort Jesus Museum, we had to wait first. Then suddenly we went to the fortress and a young woman wanted to start the tour there with us. I asked her if she spoke German, she denied that and explained that she only knew English. As a result, they explained that this is no good for us due to a lack of language skills in English. The driver then disappeared and after some time came back with a man and said he knew German. Well, his knowledge of German was absolutely rudimentary. We also noticed that they were still negotiating prices. By the way, we had already seen this man in front of the fortress, probably a local guide who offers his services to tourists there in this way. After the fortress, about 45 min, we walked through the old town, also about 45 min, with few explanations, and also partly incomprehensible. Then we walked through the market hall, about 10 min. After the market hall we were told that the guide is now leaving and the driver is getting the car. The guide wanted 20 dollars from us, we refused this and gave him 5 dollars. After about half an hour we were able to get into the car. We have explained that we do not want to have lunch anywhere, but want to go straight to Haller Park. By then we were already upset, understandable from our point of view. Nevertheless, the driver still drove us to the seaside and asked if we would like to walk here. We denied that. There was then a short photo stop at the Mombasa Tusks. Then we went to Haller Park. There was also no private tour with a German-speaking guide, but were guided through the park with a group of about 30 people for about 1.5 hours including an English-speaking guide. Conclusion: The specifications of services did not match the actual circumstances. We were disappointed and frustrated, we could have saved the 211.24 euros.
