Enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets of Mombasa’s old town, passing the renowned fish market before heading to see the elephant tusks, monuments commemorating the ancient (now illegal) ivory trade. Afterwards, explore the market and enjoy lunch featuring local dishes to sample the regional cuisine.
- Mombasa Tusks - Travel to the elephant tusks located along Moi Avenue in Mombasa.
- Akamba Handicraft - Visit the Akamba woodcarvers to observe the artisans at work and take advantage of the opportunity to purchase beautiful crafts and souvenirs from your African visit.
- Haller Park - After lunch, guests will visit Haller Park, a free-roaming animal sanctuary created from a former cement quarry. Numerous animals can be seen, and depending on interest, the visit can last between 2 to 3 hours, after which guests will be returned to their hotel.

Nice day in Mombasa with Vincent. - My husband and I enjoyed our day exploring Mombasa. We went to the tusks, market, Beach with fresh coconuts and cassava chips. Then on to an additional guide for old town history and Fort Jesus. Antoni was the old time guide who was very knowledgeable. It was so hot and humid. We then had lunch at a local restaurant then on to Haller Park. The only down sides of the day were we did not get into the Fort Jesus museum 🫤. (Also there are no hippos at the Haller Park) We also think they should have included waters with the tour... Overall still a good tour.

Outstanding Full Day Tour of Mombasa!!!! - This was my first trip to Mombasa, Kenya so I wanted a good tour that would orient me to the city’s rich history, people and energy. Well, Bush Pumba Safaris most certainly delivered on that. My host and driver, Vincent, was very knowledgeable and patient with me as I asked him a lot of questions throughout the day. Our itinerary included taking pictures at the iconic Pemba za Ndovu (Commemorative Elephant Tusks on Moi Avenue), visits to a beautiful Hindu temple, Fort Jesus and Old Town, the busy Likoni Ferry and also Haller Park - where I got to feed the giraffes, watch a crocodile feeding session and see the many other local animals resident there. But, my favorite stop was to the Akamba Handicraft Cooperative Society site where I got to see and speak with the expert craftsmen who were making some of the most beautiful commemorative artwork by hand in ebony, teak, rosewood and other local materials. I was so spoiled for choice there that I ended up having to buy another piece of travel luggage (later in town) to accommodate the multiple items I purchased. It was also great to learn that 80% of all sales proceeds at Akamba go directly to the artisans there. After seeing their handiwork in progress directly, as well as the excellent quality of that work, they are certainly deserving of the fruits of their labors. I would definitely recommend Bush Pumba Safaris for the Full Day Tour of Mombasa, and if you’re lucky like me you will get Vincent as your guide. He made my first Mombasa experience unforgettable.

Wonderful trip. - The guide was absolutely perfect. Very detailed descriptions and explanation. Nothing was too much trouble. Because it was a private tour we could determine how long we wanted to spend in each place.

Amazing Day in Mombasa - Anthony, our guide, provided us an amazing experience. He really cared that our day was wonderful. The tour provided us with a true appreciation of the beauty of Mombasa.

Mombasa Day Tour with Vincent - Our Trip was fantastic Vincent our driver who arived exactially on time met us at reception and we went through everything planned on the trip and had a veey good tour guide in Fort Jesus and through Old Towm Mombasa through the old narrow streets.
Spice market was good also we got spice for fish and steak and cofee beans and masala tea there was lots of selections optional purchases.
Got good photos at tge Tusks also and a good lunch in a italian restaurant then finished in Haller Park fkr giraffe feeding hippo feeding and crocodile feedings.
Great trip for myself my mum and Wife to be.
I strongly recomend that vincent should get a pay rise for all his hard work and keeping us safe in Mombasa.

Great Driver and Guide Titus - We got to see lots on this trip. Visiting and witnessing where the wooden carvings are hand made was humbling. Feeding time at Haller Park with the Giraffes was magical. Titus our driver was so attentive and considerate of our needs and concerns that we rebooked him the following day! We are very upset that there are not animal welfare restrictions in place for the giant tortoise. Overall we would recommend the tour.
