Drvengrad - Constructed in 2000 as a film set for “Life is a Miracle,” Drvengrad was envisioned by Kusturica as more than just a set. The town’s centerpiece is the Church of Saint Sava, designed in the style of Russian wooden churches. Authentic log cabins and timber houses, relocated from various parts of Serbia and Republika Srpska, are scattered around the main square. Streets are named after cultural and scientific icons, including Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara, football legend Diego Maradona, directors Federico Fellini and Ingmar Bergman, tennis star Novak Djokovic, and inventor Nikola Tesla. Drvengrad offers attractions such as an art gallery, library, hotel, underground cinema, Stanley Kubrick theater, traditional pastry shop, and restaurant.

Kopaonik - Studenica Monastery - Belgrade

Studenica Monastery - Situated in a remote, mountainous area, the Studenica Monastery overlooks the river of the same name and the Raška Valley to the east. Founded by Stefan Nemanja in the late 12th century, it is one of Serbia’s most significant monasteries and holds great spiritual importance. The monastery features three churches within an oval walled complex. The largest, the Church of Our Lady, was completed in 1196. Its polished marble exterior, unique in Serbian medieval architecture, is adorned with intricately carved leaves, figures, and mythological creatures in the Romanesque style. Inside, the smooth marble is somewhat disrupted by a less skillfully added exonarthex by Radoslav, a later Nemanjić dynasty ruler.
