- Grand Bassin - Ganga Talao, commonly known as Grand Bassin, is a crater lake situated about 550 meters above sea level in the mountainous southwest of Mauritius. A temple and several small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and other deities are located along the shoreline. During your visit to this sacred site, you will be captivated by the enormous statue of Lord Shiva. Rest assured, at Grand Bassin, you will find the Hindu God Lord Shiva, smiling and as serene as ever. The statue stands 33 meters tall and is the tallest known statue in Mauritius. Ganga Talao is a major attraction in Mauritius, drawing many visitors who come to pray, meditate, or simply stroll by the lake and enjoy the stunning surrounding views. The lake of Ganga Talao is believed to be around 18 meters deep and is home to a healthy population of fish.

Alexandra Falls is indeed one of the island’s most iconic and popular sites, renowned not only for its breathtaking beauty. - Chamarel Waterfalls - The Chamarel Waterfall is a stunning natural wonder set amidst dense vegetation. Fed by the waters of three distinct streams flowing into the Saint-Denis River, it boasts a powerful rush with a peak flow rate exceeding 40,000 m³ per minute. The St. Denis rivers flow through fields, gorges, and green spaces towards the sea, creating a splendid view. Cascading over the edge of a basalt cliff, the Chamarel Waterfall plunges into an oval pool before flowing down a 6km tropical-forest-fringed canyon to Baie du Cap. Tourists can choose to view the waterfalls from the upper deck at the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth or from below. The Chamarel Falls are undoubtedly the most famous and recognized waterfalls in Mauritius and have always been a major attraction for tourists.
