Commissario Montalbano experience - Our driver/guide for this day tour was Carmelo who was exceptional in all ways - driving carefully, patient, prepared about both Sicily's history and the filming (& curiosities) of Commissario Montalbano. We visited Scicli (police headquarters and the Duomo), Punta Secca (Montalbano's house, lighthouse and restaurant (sea was rough but seen its location from a safe place), Ragusa (Duomo, film locations, Iblea Garden and the and it's magnificent views). We had a quick lunch at Ai Lumi Trattoria Tipiċi (was excellent and accommodating). Finally, Modica where e stopped for the opening scene view of the city dominated by the Duomo. We then visited the Duomo itself dedicated to St George and also the church of St Peter. It was a certainly unforgettable experience which we will always remember. We will plan future day trips with this tour company. Thank you Carmelo and Sicily Grand Tour.

Great experience and very prepared guide. - Our tour with Carmelo was exceptional! He was extremely prepared, engaging about the places that hosted our favorite drama about Commissioner Montalbano. He was also able to perfectly balance historical information about the cities of Ragusa and Modica with curious anecdotes and adapted the pace of the tour to our needs, creating an unforgettable experience. This driving tour was for... - This driving tour was for fans of the great Italian detective series, Montalbano. We went to 4 towns in SE Sicily where key location sets of Montalbano’s fictional town of Vigata were filmed; notably the police station, Montalbano’s iconic beachfront house, the main square cathedral, and one other. Our driver and guide, Carmelo, was fantastic, knowledgeable and personable. The only complaint is that the van was noisy and Carmelo should have had a portable microphone in the van so those in the rear could hear him when he talked while driving. The tour was long, but excellent and highly recommended for Montalbano fans like us. The mountainous town views were spectacular.

Great day of sightseeing in the Sicilian Baroque. - This trip was worth every penny , Carmelo our guide was a great guy ,helpful , friendly and informative. The tour truly was a delight , you wouldn’t even need to be a fan of the show to appreciate the beauty of Modica , Ragusa and Punta Secca. To see Montalbano’s house , stand in his office was brilliant. We even had some refreshments at Enzo a Mare . Highlight of our holiday and highly recommended.

An excellent trip with an excellent guide, Carmelo - The pick up and drop off at my hotel were at my request and were on time. the guide, Carmelo, had excellent knowledge of Inspector Montalbano, was courteous and very friendly. I was travelling alone, and 3 others were in the group, and we all got on famously. The sites were saw - his house, the lighthouse, the police station, the view when the program starts and other sites were so incredible and exciting. I went in September, which was a good time of year as the sites were not crowded and plenty of good photos were taken. Highly recommended.
