- Trujillo - The tour includes visits to the Main Square, Urquiaga Mansion, and the Cathedral.
The Urquiaga Mansion is owned by the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú. It houses an impressive collection of pottery, rococo furniture, the desk used by Simon Bolivar, and a significant dinner set gifted by the Liberator to Juan Antonio Ochaita y Urquiaga in 1824.
- Chan Chan - The next destination is Chan Chan, the political and administrative center of the Chimu Kingdom. Originally spanning about 24 km², it is recognized as “The World’s Largest Mud Brick City.” On November 28, 1986, Chan Chan was designated a “World Heritage” site by UNESCO.
Visitors can explore the only area open to tourists, known as Tschudi or Nik An Palace. The walls are adorned with reliefs depicting sea otters, pelicans, cormorants, fishing nets, and other maritime symbols. The tour includes ceremonial plazas, small altars, patios, storerooms, a ceremonial well, and the funerary platform where the Chimu king was laid to rest.
- Huanchaco - Huanchaco is a historic fishing village where fishermen continue the traditional use of “small horse reed boats,” a practice dating back to the Moche and Chimu cultures. During colonial times, Huanchaco served as a port but lost prominence in the 1870s with the establishment of Salaverry port.
