Both villages are... - Both villages are beautiful, safe, easy to walk and full of history. Time for each place is enough for hanging around and shopping. That’s good experience more than only staying in Malaga city

Recommended - Setenil de las Bodegas is one of the most picturesque villages in Spain, famous for its houses carved directly into the rock that create a unique and spectacular urban landscape. Walking through the narrow streets of Setenil almost means walking in an open-air museum, where every corner tells centuries of history and tradition. The village has ancient origins: already populated by the Phoenicians and the Romans, it became strategic during Muslim domination and was the scene of important battles during the Reconquista. Its name probably derives from the Latin “septem nihil”, meaning “seven times nothing”, referring to the long series of sieges that the city suffered before falling under Christian control. Even today, the castle and the ancient walls recall that military past, while the troglodyte houses offer an extraordinary example of man’s adaptation to the natural environment. Today Setenil is a lively and welcoming village, with small bars, teterías and restaurants overlooking the streets under the rocks, where you can taste typical local dishes. Its atmosphere is at once quiet and charming: ideal for those who love historic villages, photography or simply strolling immersed in history. We did this Rona Setenil tour with Get your guide and paid 25 euros each from Malaga. I absolutely recommend it because this country is a sight, the trip was organized very well and our guide helped us plan our free tour around the country for an hour and a half. Be careful because it takes a quarter of an hour to get there and back just to get to the bus on foot, which obviously cannot enter the village. There was also the option to have the guide follow us, but we preferred to shoot on our own. The same for Rona very nice, too bad it was raining and we only visited the new bridge and a little downtown.

Very nice villages - Very nice villages. The guide gave some facts that were not true related to the world of bullfighting but overall we had a good day out.

A rather unique and most enjoyable day out - An excellent day out (without guided tour) to a rather unique venue. The times allowed at the two stops were about right and the length of the return coach trip didn't make the day drag too much.
