- Niah National Park - The journey to Niah National Park takes approximately 90 minutes. Upon arrival, register at the park headquarters. Then, take a boat across the Niah River to the museum, followed by an hour-long plank walk to the cave entrance, known as The Great Caves. Niah National Park in Sarawak is home to the Niah Caves, among the largest limestone caves globally. The park spans 3,102 hectares (7,756 acres) of forest and limestone. The landscape is dominated by Gunung Subis, which rises to 394 meters (1,294 ft).
- Gua Niah - Discover the vast Great Cave, where archaeologists have found evidence of human existence in Borneo dating back 40,000 years. Exhibits include the skull of a young Homo Sapien, along with stone, bone, and iron tools, and cave drawings. Anthropologists have determined that the Niahan people inhabited the caves from 40,000 BC to 1400 AD. With over half the park covered in limestone, limestone vegetation is prevalent. The Balsaminaceae and Begoniaceae families are commonly seen at the entrance of the Traders’ and West Mouth Caves. Peat swamp and mixed dipterocarp forests are also present in Niah.
