• Jiron de La Union - Once the city’s most important road, Jirón de la Unión was known for its aristocratic atmosphere and famous residents. Today, it is a popular commercial street, but its historical significance remains.
• Iglesia y Convento La Merced - The convent and church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced are as old as Lima itself. Historical records indicate that the land on which they were built belonged to the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy. The church features various reredos, including a fire-gilded altarpiece with an image of the Virgin of Mercy, who was declared the “heavenly protector of Lima” in 1615.
• Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - Lima’s most significant square, where you can enjoy the beautiful plaza and views of the Government Palace. The main cathedral, located in the square, adds to its charm.
• Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas - The Catacombs of the Basilica of San Francisco served as the city’s old cemetery during colonial times. This building includes catacombs from that era.
