• Minoo Park - Minoo Park was designated as a quasi-national park on December 11, 1967, as part of the Meiji 100th year commemorative project. It is a rich repository of natural habitats, featuring approximately 1,300 plant species, 3,500 insect species, and numerous wild birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and fish. The park is also home to the special natural monument, the Japanese salamander, which inhabits the mountain area of Minoo.
• Minoosan Ryuanji Temple - “Ryuanji” has been the focal point of the waterfalls since ancient times. It houses a dojo where mountain training was traditionally conducted. Mountain priests from across the country gather here in April, July, and November for a special sacrificial ritual. “Benzaiten,” the god of wealth, is enshrined in the temple’s main hall and is considered Japan’s oldest of the Seven Deities of Good Luck.
• Waterfall of Mino - “Minoo Waterfall” is highly recommended as Osaka’s premier waterfall in Japan. This impressive waterfall is 5 meters wide and 33 meters high. The significant drop creates a stunning view at the base, where the water cascades down in a white torrent. The water’s rapid descent from the rock walls is powerful, and the way it folds back upon hitting protruding rocks is quite mysterious. As you approach the waterfall, the sound of splashing water and the breeze can invigorate you with negative ions.
