Immersive and Amazing Tour! - Tour was amazing! So immersive, fun, and informative. Mario was my tour guide, he did a fantastic job tailoring the tour to what I wanted to experience. I was a solo traveler and the only one on the tour, but it was super fun and Mario was a great guide! I felt safe everywhere we went. We went to local coffee farm, a beautiful waterfall, lunch at a hostel with incredible views and learned about local chocolate… and got to try some! Absolutely would recommend this tour to anyone who wants an immersive experience in Minca. Involved lots of hiking, be prepared for the outdoors!

A taste of Minca - I had an incredible hike with Mario(MAR-hero). His knowledge of the local history of Indigenous, and plant life was expansive to say the least. He warned me of dangerous spiders, and which plants to avoid. The hike to the coffee farm was steep but manageable. We took a few breaks for me to catch my breath, which I appreciated. Mario showed me the Indigenous method of coffee farming, where the beans are harvested, cleaned, and roasted. The Waterfall was magical. I hiked barefoot down to the private section by the farm. The hike was a gentle walk. The meal at the Restaurant/hostel was delicious. As a corn soup connoisseur I was shocked and delighted by the flavor. The chocolate experience was fun and educational. Mario was a great tour guide. The ride to and from the hotel was pricey but I didn’t want to stress getting to the meeting point on time.

A great tour. We picked... - A great tour. We picked up (and dropped off) in Santa Marta by a friendly taxi driver to meet a bilingual guide, Mario. He was a very knowledgeable and interesting guy to spend a day. Activities were educational and a lot of fun. We had such a wonderful day in Minca. P.S. Wear good hiking boots would be easier to walk on the trail because it could be muddy and slippery.

Impressive nature, but our tour was simplified - With a 4.8 rating, our expectations were high. Maybe other experiences differ, but this was ours. Overall, we felt the tour was overpriced for what was delivered (COP 365,000 + COP 120,000 transport + purchased local products). The optional transport, in particular, seems excessive, considering that public options between Santa Marta and Minca cost around COP 10,000. The itinerary did not fully match the description. The eco-walk was skipped, and groups were merged onto an easier route, resulting in a total duration closer to 5 hours rather than the advertised 6–7. The “waterfall” is more of a small cascade, which may disappoint visitors expecting something more substantial based on the photos. The coffee visit was more explanatory than hands-on; we did not see coffee cherries or the differences between premium and lower-quality beans, as in other experiences. The cacao workshop felt quite basic for the time allocated. We also did not experience the advertised “Minca hammocks,” which some visitors may be looking forward to. On the positive side, the food was good, and parts of the guide’s storytelling were engaging. We suggest adding additional information to the description, especially the total walking distance, the elevation/difficulty of the eco-walk, and more accurate photographs of key highlights. A less insistent approach to product sales or tip innuendos would also improve the experience. Overall, the natural environment around Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is impressive, but the value for money did not meet our expectations.
