Beautiful museum - The museum is located in the center of Milan, in what was once Poldi Pezzoli's house, Bella l'armeria with truly unique pieces, perhaps just a little dark. Beautiful clocks, the Persian carpet of the sixteenth century and paintings, ranging from 300 to 800. The staff was friendly and helpful.

First private museum in Italy - I really enjoyed the design and layout of this small but unique museum with ceramics, china, paintings, etc. What impressed me most was the collection of ancient clocks and pocket watches. They look stunning.

Charming, not to be missed - We visited the museum on a Sunday morning. Nor were we thrilled. The collection of watches is really rich and precious, the lady of Pollaiolo alone is worth the visit. The exhibition by Andrea Solario is worth the visit alone. Highly recommended

A Beautiful Collection of Art & History - The Museo Poldi Pezzoli is a short walk from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The former residence turned museum houses an incredible collection of art, including works by masters like Botticelli and Bellini. What I like about this museum is that it's not huge or overwhelming and it has a little bit of something for everyone; paintings, clocks, tapestries. Strolling through the galleries felt like I was enjoying a personal tour of a private collection. I recommend stopping by for a few hours even if you aren't into art; there's something for everyone here to enjoy.

Museum private collection residence - A museum of note in Milan is located on Via Manzoni: the POLDI PEZZOLI MUSEUM, a refined residence-museum that exhibits a priceless private collection of Renaissance paintings (Piero della Fancesca, Bellini, Botticeli, Mategna,...), clocks, weapons, tapestries armor and historical furniture in an atmosphere of private palace.

Very interesting, but in need of improvement - Very interesting visit, especially as regards the collection of paintings, among which I point out some amazing Magnasco. Why didn't I give it the highest grade? The main reason: those who take care of the Palace should take a nice museology course. Tags of the same color as the wall, sometimes placed in an "extravagant" way, information on the painting lacking or completely absent, lighting to be reviewed. Second reason: the much celebrated carpet with hunting scenes and the fabric collection were temporarily absent; I think it is important to report on the site when these are visible or not.

Worth it - The museum is a hidden gem in the center of Milan. The museum houses a rich collection of art from various periods with ample information in a stunning location. It might appear small when you enter, but the upper floor houses enough to fill more than two hours on itself. If you go for a city trip to Milan, Poldi Pezzoli houses a variety to keep you excited after two or three days sightseeing and visiting.

It left me a little cold - There are some lovely paintings here but it left me a little cold. It may be because there was clearly an event on and ordinary visitors were being treated rather as second class citizens. There was little point in buying a ticket in advance as you were just made to queue up to have it replaced by another ticket. I enjoyed the Andrea Solario exhibition that was on when I was there. It is conveniently located though being close to La Scala and the Galleria.
