Fantastic overview for a limited time in Milan - Nice walk with historical context connecting the location of The Lord’s Supper painting with the Duomo. Superb description of The Lord’s Supper with details I had never seen or considered.

Learned so much while having fun - Lara was full of such knowledge and history of the city and the Last Supper. Being a long time local resident was so helpful in planning other parts of our trip as well.

Meaningful introduction to Milano and it’s history - Lara was very knowledgeable and efficient. Worthwhile spending of time getting to know Milano, before striking out on our own. Highly recommend Lara.

AMAZING MILAN TOUR! - Our guide, Lara, was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and made her “history lesson” fun and exciting during the tour. The tour itself was perfect timing and pace. I totally recommend it!

Was expecting more - I’ve been on many tours. This was meh at best. Lots of walking time and very little time spent on substance. The visit to The Last Supper was excellent. After that we walked a lot and saw little. Visit inside the Duomo was okay. Our guide seemed somewhat knowledgeable but the actual significant parts were hurried. She seemed rushed, her phone rang twice and she answered it once. Definitely needed a coffee stop between The Last Supper and the Duomo. Would have been a nice addition.

I have used Viator many... - I have used Viator many times in many countries and have generally had very positive experiences, which makes this situation especially disappointing.
We booked a tour costing over $700 with an original start time of 11:15 AM. After booking, we received confusing and contradictory messages regarding a possible schedule change. One communication referenced a 7:30 AM start time, while other messages — including the Viator app itself — continued to show the original 11:15 AM departure time.
To make matters worse, on the morning of the tour we even received an email reminding us to get ready for our 11:15 AM tour. Based on the app and reminder email, we reasonably believed the tour still began at 11:15.
Unfortunately, because of the inconsistent communication, we missed the tour entirely and lost more than $700. What is most frustrating is that Viator has refused to issue any refund or credit despite the obvious confusion caused by their own notifications and app.
I understand policies are policies, but customer service should also consider fairness and the customer experience — especially for long-time customers. Very disappointing handling of an avoidable situation.
I will be looking into using these other companies when I travel next.
