After a picturesque 2-hour ferry journey across the Indian Ocean, arrival in Dar es Salaam is around 9:00 AM. The trip continues by SGR train towards Mikumi National Park, offering a comfortable 2-hour ride through Tanzania’s scenic countryside.
Between 11:15 AM and 11:30 AM, there is a relaxing lunch break in Doma Village, featuring a local meal. Post-lunch, the journey proceeds by road for about an hour to Mikumi Village.

Around 12:30 PM, there is a break for lunch in a designated picnic area within the park, surrounded by nature. After lunch, a shorter afternoon game drive continues to spot any wildlife missed in the morning.

As the day concludes, guests return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest, leaving with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s wild beauty.

Return Journey: Back to the Island from Mikumi to Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam

Tanzania - After an early morning breakfast, departure from the Mikumi lodge is at 6:00 AM, beginning the return journey to Zanzibar. Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive through the Tanzanian countryside en route to Dar es Salaam.

Upon reaching Dar es Salaam, guests proceed directly to the ferry terminal, where there is time to relax before boarding. At 2:00 PM, the Azam Fast Ferry or Zan Fast Ferry is boarded for a comfortable and smooth return to Zanzibar.

Arrival in Zanzibar marks the conclusion of an incredible journey—filled with unforgettable wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and scenic landscapes.
