Perfect experience 🩷💕 - e took 3 separate tours with Rodrigo of Yei Tours. First we did the Morelia city tour. Second we did the Butterfly Sanctuary tour to El Rosario. Third we did the Butterfly Sanctuary tour to Sierra Chincua. My 2 adult sons joined my husband and I us for the tours. From the very beginning of planning this trip, Rodrigo communicated promptly and professionally with exacting information to help us with this trip. My husband has mobility issues and Rodrigo made adjustments to the tours to accommodate my husband so he was able to participate fully in all 3 tours. Words cannot express my gratitude for this caring and compassionate treatment so we could all be together on this trip. We all felt so totally taken care of and loved our experiences in every way. traveling in a foreign country and not speaking the language can be somewhat daunting - Rodrigo speaks perfect English and has such an engaging easy demeanor. Such an enjoyable experience in every way I would highly recommend Rodrigo with Yei Tours for your trip to this area and would use him again for any future trips. Wonderful Monarch experience with a wonderful tour guide. - Rodrigo was an amazing tour guide. We scheduled a private tour with him to visit Sierra Chincua sanctuary. He picked us up at our hotel at 6:30am to get to the Monarchs early. We saw the sun rise above the mountains on the drive. It was a beautiful and peaceful drive. We arrived so early that other visitors had not arrived yet. The walk up is beautiful, so many hummingbirds and native flowers blooming. We had a sunny day in late January and the Monarchs were very active. We started to see them flying around as we were venturing up. When we arrived near the top the Monarchs began to wake and fly around as the sun hit them. It is truly an unbelievable experience! Thank you so much Rodrigo! Dream come true.

Bucket list trip to see the Monarchs - Rodrigo was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and he was able to get us to the sanctuary early in the morning before the large crowds and we were able to stay longer to observe the monarch’s taking flight. Amazing!!!!

Not to be missed! - I'm NOT a morning person so getting up at 5am for a 6:30 start is anathema. With little sleep and no breakfast we were driven by Rodrigo, possibly the best tour guide ever to El Rosario Sanctuary. We had a wonderful, (use all the superlative adjectives here) experience. This was absolutely a once in a lifetime, bucket list experience. Transcendent. Can't recommend highly enough. Rodrigo BTW is extremely friendly, personable and a wealth of knowledge. Also, thoughtfully provided little touches like trekking poles and a boxed lunch for after in addition to bottles of mineral and natural water.

An amazing spectacle - An early rise is definitely worth it to beat the crowds. Rodrigo is very knowledgeable and I learnt a lot from this trip as well as seeing the beautiful countryside and the amazing story of the Monarch butterflies.

Recommended Experience - The trip with Rodrigo to visit the Monarch butterfly sanctuary was an unforgettable experience. Rodrigo is a good guy and knew all about the butterflies as well as answering all our questions. Our morning began at 6:30am as Rodrigo picked us up at our residence and off we went. The ride to the sanctuary is two hours each way. The cool thing with Rodrigo is you get to arrive at the butterflies while they are still sleeping, then the sun slowly opens which warms their body as they begin flying around. It was so cool to be able to see them going from sleep to flying around. By then it was noon time and time to head back down the mountain. Rodrigo provided an enjoyable box lunch and drink for the ride home. We arrived back at our home at 3:00pm which allowed us more time to continue visiting beautiful Morelia.

Great tour and guide - Rodrigo was our private guide and he was so knowledgeable and patient. (I was recovering from a cough so the uphill was a bit tricky). But it was a great tour nonetheless. I highly recommend.
