I had a great time. Frances demonstrated for us and you can tell she loves this, and enjoys teaching people her craft.
Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. I had a great time and learned so much in the 2hr class. Highly recommend it.
What a great space filled with wonderful instructors! We had a great time learning the pottery wheel and look forward to trying more classes at MIY.
So much fun for a first time experience for my 10 year old grand daughter. It was a very positive learning experience with the help of very talented and knowledgeable staff. Looking forward to having her enjoy many more classes when she visits me.
I bought the "Wheel Throwing 2 hr Mini Class" as a birthday gift for my father. He just moved to Hollywood and wanted to learn how to use the pottery wheel. It's much harder than I thought! It was a successful class. My dad thoroughly enjoyed himself. The instructor is FANTASTIC, but a 2-hour class goes by too fast. My dad plans on coming back for an 8-week class, and I wouldn't mind joining him.
caitlin and everyone was extremely nice and super helpful made the experience fun and memorable
the instructor was very kind and her instruction was very thorough. she took her time and was very patient with all the students
I love the space, the teacher, and the class. Will be back.
the staff was SUPER! It made this experience that much better.
I was very happy with the class. I got lots of one on one. And yes I learned the evasive knowledge of how to enter clay! I would highly recommend this class.
I had never tried pottery before and was curious, and I ended up making something I want to keep! Small class with hands on instruction to try to help us understand and correct our mistakes. The artists using the studio were also friendly. It seems like a nice place to spend more time (but unfortunately I don't really have a lot of that). I enjoyed the class very much!
Instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I think she could have broken down the steps a little more rather than showing how to do it all at once.
instructor was very helpful, and the class overall was amazing.
The teacher went through the entire process of using the pottery wheel all at once. It was difficult for us to remember all the steps. We had never done this before. It would probably be beneficial if she went through it all and then went back and did step by step as we were all doing the same thing together. Everyone was very nice and other people that were there helped us and that was much appreciated! Especially for the two lefties of the group!
We enjoyed our two hours. The group wasn't too big so the instructor was fine to help everybody. You have to clean everything after you finish but there is only one sink and you need to make a line. If you want to practice you need to buy extra mud. We recommend it.
