No better way to spend your time in the glades than on the water and up close to the wildlife. Don McCumber was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. The beauty is unparalleled, great company from start to finish. From Heather in the office to the guides, this THE company to go with to truly experience and get to know the Everglades.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and saw an amazing selection of birds. Ron, was very friendly and knowledgeable and even swapped kayaks with our son when he fell out with his sister! A great afternoon all round. Many thanks.
Hello!, The guide was very friendly , the mangrove is superb we saw a lot of animals. The young girl with who we made the reservation at the office (chokoloskee island I think) was a litlle not very friendly at the beginning but more friendly once we tooke 2 tickets. The price is quite expensive 205 $ pour 3 hours for 2 people, I would be more confortable if it would had last a little bit more...5 hours for the same price would be nice.
All in all it was a great tour. We saw a lot of alligators, many baby-alligators, some turtles and a great number of different birds. The guide told a lot of interessting things and answered every question. Unfortunately the water was very flat so we can't kayaking to every place. We only saw the wide rivers but not the Mangrovetunnels. We were very sad about it. It would be better, when they told us about it bevor we buy the tour. Because we wanted to see the Mangrovetunnels absolutely.
I saw lots of alligators up close, including mama and babies.
This tour provides an intimate view of the mangroves and backcountry with a knowledgeable guide. The paddling is fun and not excessively strenuous. You will see birds and animals up close.
It was overall a great experience however the river was a little crowded at times would have been nice to be able to go to a little more remote location.
The experience of the excursion on a kayak through the forests of mangrove for aprox 3 quiet hours permits a close contact with the wild nature. there are time to take pictures, take a videos, put close to the birds, alligators, mangroves, acuatic plants, insects, snails eggs, etc. The guide is very nice, he goes explaining the animals to see. The kayaks are big, for two people each one, very stables, not so heavy for transport them. Very recommendable for the lovers of the nature.
We thoroughly enjoyed kayaking through nature with an experienced guide - was great and very worth while. Ron was our guide and was wonderful.
Enjoyed the tour. Leader seemed very knowledgeable. But for the price, there should be fewer in the group. The constant sound of airboats is annoying but I know you can't prevent that.
The tour was very nice, Our guide was asesome and it was pretty funny and interesting to listen to his stories. He also took some pictures of us (we hope he will not forget to send them to us ;-)) Unfortunately the early October and of course the short time after „Irma“ was not the very best time to visit the Everglades (not so many animals were around, but the guide made the best of it and it became a wonderful day. If we come back another time we will do this Kayaking Tour again Thank your that experience and good luck Chris & Leila
Great tour guide wirh a wealth of information. Really understand the nature and eco system of the Everglades much better now. Was hoping though to see more wildlife (gators, turtles, ...)
