For the most part the charter was fine. I felt like 3/4 hrs the guys fished hard and tried to put us on some fish. However, right after catching live bait the boat was a disorganized, dysfunctional mess. For about 45 min the crew ran around unable to get kites up while battling gear issues. Shit happens on a boat and I understand that. My father commercial fished for over 20 years off the NC coast and I've seen a lot go wrong on a boat. But one thing I learned was that you keep things positive for the clients. The mate, Dylan, was running around the boat cussing the captain and everything he was trying to do. Again, I don't expect the crew to always see eye to eye but you never bitch about each other in front of clients. This was completely unacceptable. When things finally settled I felt they worked hard and knew what they were doing. I appreciated at the end hooking up two of us on some barracuda. I appreciated the jester of getting some action on the boat for our party. What happened next I have some concerns about. We caught a 39" barracuda that was immediately gaffed and paraded around as a true trophy sportfish that people wait lifetimes to catch. You can find that size barracuda on every reef, wreck, and pier from NC to the Carribean. I felt there was a ton of upselling and pressure from the mate to have my buddy get a mount done. He honestly sounded like a used car salesmen trying to convince a buyer that a 98 Honda Civic is a true sport car. I know that the crew gets a piece of commission off of each mount sold but in a 39" barracuda is a joke. I do hold the blame on my buddy for getting hooked into the mount but was uneasy with the amount of salesmenship that was used. I have never seen that in a charter before and I've been on a lot. I was also uneasy with Dylan offering free tshirts for 5 star reviews. I have never been on a boat where the crew was trading gear for good reviews. I also don't want to get 10% of jet ski rentals offered to me. We booked this boat as a charter sportfishing trip and expect that. The spring break Panama City sales pitches were upsetting to me. Again most of the trip was well done and the guys worked hard. However, I don't want to have the mate smoke a pack of cigarettes in front of me all morning and then try and sell some unrealistic trophy fish mount so he gets a cut of the action.

There was no fresh bait on the boat at all, only a few artificial lures. We trolled about an hour and a half, and then sat on a spot about a mile off the Dania Beach pier. The Captain, and the mate were very nice, but there didn't seem to be a lot of concern about the lack of fish in the boat. Had I known that bait would not be provided, I would have brought some, and maybe one of my own rods, as well. Maybe our expectations were a little too high, as I've seen a lot of charters out on the water doing exactly what we did, but we all thought that there could have been more options for trying different setups to catch more fish.

Good afternoon, this past weekend, myself and 7 other friends charted your boat (Lady Pamela 3). The total for this 1 - 5pm expedition was $900 plus 20% tip. I was provided your company's name by the W hotel. When I read through your website, it said that the fishing charter would take out our group for a day of fishing. First, our expectation was that we would actually do the fishing. That was not the case. While your staff was very professional, the mate in fact did the actual fishing. Second, i understand that their are days where you don't catch any fish, but at least each person has an opportunity to hold a fishing rod and the captain takes us to a place where there actually may be fish. The entire time of the fishing trip, only 3 people actually handled a fishing rod. This was only after the mate through the line out and gave us the fishing rod to reel in. This trip was not a fishing trip, it was a boat ride watching someone from your company fish. Again, your staff was very professional but only when I asked the mate if we can have a turn to just fish with a rod, he said yes and baited the line, sunk the line down in the water and said now watch the pole and see if it bends. I have to say it was the most disappointing part of our overall trip to Fort Lauderdale. I frankly believe we paid for a boat ride. I cannot in good faith give your company a good rating/review on your website, Yelp or my feedback back to the W hotel. Regards, Robin Sebastian
