Lots of walking but great place - Of all the Zoos I've visited this by far was the best. Because of bad knees I only managed to get around to seeing about half of the exhibits. A lot of walking unless you rent a peddle car, wheelchair or pay for a personal riding tour. Wish I had done that because it was a hot day and I got dehydrated. Hope to return to Miami to experience what I missed.

Very nice zoo - Really nice zoo, however there were quite a few enclosures (seemed to be more than just timing) that were empty or lacked the animals. We saw many animals we had not seen before.

A Zoo of Stellar Size, Quality, and Care - I had a wonderful day exploring Zoo Miami and gaining insight and appreciation for the numerous animals that inhabit it. In some ways it felt like a safari more than a traditional zoo experience. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in animals. The animals have a wealth of space - the zoo sits on 750 acres - and look to be well taken care of. The animals seem to have ample space to hide away from visitors if they wish. I participated in the giraffe feeding experience which was very pleasant for I believe both the humans and the giraffes, as the giraffes were all lined up waiting for their lettuce, freshly cleaned by staff in front of us. Signage on the animal enclosures was very educational with info about nocturnal/diurnal species, behaviors, population distribution, and diet. The facilities are clean, there are plenty of food/snack/beverage options, and ample seating to get a rest. I do recommend going during the Winter months for a better chance at a cool day. The zoo necessitates a lot of walking or cycling, which I cannot imagine doing in the worst of the Summer. Speaking of which, this zoo is huge so if you're with children or have limited mobility, I highly highly recommend renting a 2-4 person quad-cycle to get around. Tickets are reasonably priced, entry was smooth, and there is a photographer on site that takes an entry photo for free with of course opportunity to purchase more shots. Parking was simple. It is a far drive from the city, so definitely account for that and traffic. Coming early is the best way to get parking and have time to see most of the exhibits. I will definitely be returning at some point.

Super special moments at zoo Miami. - An amazing zoo, huge enclosures. Especially went for the giraffe feeding for my partner. Extra special memory for her. Plenty of water fountains to refill our bottles and plenty of sprinklers for cooling off.

No animal zoo - Very disappointed! Half the exhibits are empty. The walk around is nice if you are there to view plants, but don’t go if you are seeking a normal zoo full of animals. I was not the only one at the zoo disappointed as well. Value for the money is not worth the visit.

Horrible. 2 expensive for what is in there. - Terrible. Where are the few animals you have there. Are kidding me. In some areas there's none, others only 1. Stressed elephants 2. WHERE ARE THE CLEAR SIGNS TO TELL PEOPLE DIRECTIONS. NOT GOOD AT ALL. This place is as bad as the Miami sea aquarium.
