It was hard to find the location and they have you carry extremely heavy kayaks to the loading spot! But other than that, a great experience on calm waters and would take the kids next time!

i had a really weird experience on this kayak tour. I was in miami a year ago and took a tour with you and it was such a nice experience. I really appreciated your excellent hospitality and care and I was really looking forward to repeating that.
I also run a business that’s successful because of how I treat people and I have employees who I have to get to replicate that and I know that challenge very well.
The guy who guided me was really rough around the edges. He didn’t have any of your sense of hospitality. He didn’t take any care that I know how to kayak (thankfully I do). He just took off and was immediately 30 feet ahead of me going so fast and instead of waiting for me, just kept going faster and getting further ahead of me. I was really struggling to keep up the whole way.
We got to the island and he went to the beach and got off his paddleboard. But didn’t tell me anything. I had to ask what we were even doing. He said we were there to watch the sunset. But we had gone so fast that it was nowhere near the right time. I said I didn’t want to stay because it was such a party atmosphere and he said we could go, but told me had to pee first. I don’t really want to be told that.
Then we headed back and had to cross where the speedboats were going in the lake. I asked if we would go ahead of one boat or wait and he said “I’m going ahead, but you can wait if you want.” I didn’t feel like he cared about my safety or whether I was feeling comfortable or having a fun time.
When we passed under the bridge he took off going so fast. He got maybe 1000ft ahead of me. I could barely see him. I was trying to go fast, but my hand started cramping and I was struggling to paddle. He never came back to check on me or anything. I felt really abandoned. I almost went back to the dock on my own, since he wasn’t taking any care.
When I made it to him I was so annoyed and told him and he did take more care. But its frustrating to me that I have to give uncomfortable feedback when I’m trying to have a fun, relaxing time.
He wasn’t looking for or pointing out any nature. I really appreciated that from you a year ago and I missed that. Overall I just felt like I wasn’t being guided. I felt like I was tagging along on his personal
paddleboard adventure that was at his own pace that I couldn’t keep up with.
I didn’t feel I was being treated like a guest at all.
I come to Miami every year for a work thing and its so nice to do a kayak tour and enjoy the view and the nature. But i really wouldn’t want to repeat this experience.
It was just so far off of my expectations based on the really lovely time I had with you a year ago.

If I could give a lower rating, I would. The guide was not prepared on time, taking 20 minutes to complete paperwork and get the kayaks ready. The worst part was that we had to carry the heavy, bulky kayaks down to the dock. One person had a dog, and I had my kids with me, so we all helped each other. It was a real struggle. After a brief 20-minute paddle, we spent another 20 minutes just waiting between houses before heading back to the dock. There was no sunset to enjoy, only a broken kayak, unpleasant water, and a sense of wasted money. I definitely do not recommend this experience; it's a poor use of time and money and was a massive disappointment. Instead, I'd suggest booking surfing lessons—they're a whole lot more fun and well worth it!
