Far exceeded our expectations - This trip far exceeded our expectations. On the way out to Isla Coronado we saw a humpback whale and good size pod of dolphins. Our captain stopped for both of those and got us right up close to the dolphins. We then did a full navigation of the island and stopped off twice to snorkel right off the boat. We even got to swim around with a bunch of seals (keeping a reasonable distance of course). After that our captain asked “what do you want to see next?” and when my wife said “more dolphins”, he took us to one of the most incredible sights I’ve seen - a pod of nearly 1000 dolphins (a smaller species than what we saw earlier). We stopped in the middle of the group and had dolphins for as far as I could make out, several hundred feet in all directions. I’ve gone whale watching a couple times before and never seen anything nearly that spectacular. After the dolphins we finished the tour off with a trip to the island’s main beach. Our guide loaded us up with two bags - one containing piping hot shredded beef Baja burritos, assorted snacks, apples, and all the utensils and plates we need, and another with so many drinks that the 3 of us barely made a dent in it - sprite, coke, Diet Coke, water, and beer. The captain asked us how long we wanted to stay for - we picked 90 minutes - and he met us back at the beach right on time. I can’t recommend this tour enough. The sights snorkeling were neat but nothing too special. The dolphins, whales, beach, and personalized tour made this unforgettable though. The water was a bit cold (we went in late March) but they have wetsuits available. We brought our own wetsuits anyways. Customer service was great. They were prompt to answer my questions before the trip and assured us we’d be back to our cruise ship in time - we were of course. We had a bit of trouble finding them in the morning, but they proactively called me a bit before the meeting time and it was smooth sailing from there.
