Embark on a journey through a unique ancestral tradition celebrated worldwide. The adventure begins at the designated meeting point and leads to Xochimilco, known as the “Place of Flowers.” Here, participants will board a traditional trajinera, a boat that navigates the canals to an island where a pyramid stands, setting the stage for the show “La Llorona: The Longing for a Goodbye.” This ancient legend transports audiences from pre-Hispanic Mexico to the era of colonization, weaving a poignant tale of life and death.
Attendees will experience pre-Hispanic dances, ancient chants, and partake in the revival of the oldest traditions from Mictlan – the Place of the Dead. This is where the souls of the past whisper their memories, experiences, and legacies from another realm to this magical land known as Mexico. IMPORTANT NOTE - The show is presented exclusively in Spanish, offering a deeper connection to the culture and an authentic experience of ancient traditions as a local would.
