A walk into history - Gio was the best guide for this experience. His knowledge and passion for Mexican archaeology was infectious. He provided so much insight into the history of the area and how it was rediscovered in the 1900s. He allowed time to explore and the experience included as much climbing as you were comfortable with. I would recommend bringing snacks or a bag lunch as the cafe offered more sweet pastries.

Excellent tour guide, Hermes - Wonderful tour! Hermes is knowledgeable, personable, funny, and sweet. The driver was safe. I loved how Hermes honored the work of the women in the historical context, and how he explained the spiritual connection as well. He also corrected some of the history of the pyramids that have been told before.

1000% recommend! - Overall very good experience! If you’re staying in in the Reforma neighborhood the meet up spot at the fuente de los cántaros was super easy to find and safe. Gio was the ideal guide, very knowledgeable and kind! Was open to answer questions even it derailed him a bit. My family and I couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Book the tour! :)

Bruno was an amazing tour... - Bruno was an amazing tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour really engaging. He was also very attentive and made sure to offer us bathroom breaks, opportunities to grab water/snacks, and checking in with us through all the walking to make sure we were doing ok. He was even able to answer some of the additional questions we had during the tour. We were lucky to have the tour to ourselves since it was the offseason but I would definitely recommend to all those who want a more museum-level tour of the pyramids with more stops about the history and background of the people who lived at the site in addition to the beautiful sights of the pyramids.

Essential Tour of Teotihuacan - Gio communicates his knowledge and passion for the area in an authentic way! - Book this now and save yourself the time. Gio is so knowledgeable, passionate, and genuine. He creates a very comfortable environment where you're able to learn about the socio-political, spiritual, and ethnographic history of the area. Totally transformed our experience of Teotihuacan. It was just us and one other couple for the day so very intimate. You arrive early to see the site before too many people arrive and you get to hit an amazing pastry spot before - pro tip, Gio loves chocolate so buy him a hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant for brownie points. Have already recommended this tour to many friends visiting CDMX.

5/5 - highly recommend this expert tour - My partner and I attended Gio’s tour on the recommendation of another guide and it was truly fantastic. Logistics were straight forward, Gio was communicative, well organised and pick up on time. Drive was really comfortable in Gio and Kevin’s van. The tour was brilliant, Gio is clearly an expert on the site , and weaved together the political, social, historical and religious / mythological elements of Teotihuacan - it was really thorough and the interesting. (Thanks for answering all of my questions!) If you’re looking for a quality small tour, look no further.

Amazing visit with Gio ! - This tour was recommended by another tour guide and we were so happy to choose Gio to discover the incredible Teotihuacan. Gio is very knowlegable, answersed all of our questions (about the site but also gave us great recs for tacos !). We visit the main sites, but also a place a bit further away where most tour groups hardly ever go to, we felt very priviledged ! We are usually very picky about our guides, and we truly recommend this tour : being in small group, arriving early, all made this truly magical ! Thank you again so much Gio !!

Gio is awesome! 10/10 for Anthropology, Archeology, Mythology, History, etc! - Gio is an expert in his field and was incredible! He seamlessly wove together archeological, mythological, geological, and historical information and stories to create a comprehensive and in depth tour of the larger history as well as daily live at Teotihuacán. The tour included visiting the larger pyramids/sites as well as areas a little more off the beaten path to learn more about the murals and life outside of the main temples. Gio answered every question and it’s clear he is really passionate about anthropology and knows a LOT! This would be a great tour for history nerds and those who want to spend way more time learning than shopping. That being said, we did pass by lots of opportunities for souvenirs (though we didn’t get any). This was a perfect tour. Thank you so much Gio! Cannot recommend his tour enough.
