Magical early morning tour with no filler - Went on an early morning tour with Ric and Alex. Cannot recommend it enough. Yes it’s an early start but it is so worth it to be there first thing with virtually no others around (the coffee stop on the way to the venue was a god send for me). It felt like a deep dive in to the history, archaeology and lore of the people who lived there than a by the numbers tour, Ric really took his time to explain things and was clearly very passionate. He also takes great photos which is handy as a solo traveller to have a proper picture than a rubbish selfie. I booked this tour because I didn’t want all the filler of other tours like the workshop/lunch buffet/mezcal tasting. But those pyramid steps are really steep and you definitely need good footwear.

Great experience with Ricardo and Alex. - Extremely informative. Walked the whole area at a casual pace. Was able to climb one of the pyramids. Ricardo was a fabulous host - very passionate about sharing his love of the area. Alex was a great driver.

Highlight of our trip! - We took the early express tour of the Pyramids (or as we learned in the tour the temples) with Gerry and Don Mario this morning. It was a wonderful experience and a highlight of our holiday in Mexico. I traveled with my children (10 and 13) ), my husband and my parents. It was the perfect length for this tour and we all loved it. Gerry was so professional and knowledgeable, and Don Mario knew how to navigate Mexico City traffic safely and quickly. They were also super kind people! Really handy that they pick you up from your accommodations, totally worth the price of the tour. Don't hesitate about taking this tour, you will not regret it!

Great Guide - All activities were on schedule. Max, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Our 12-person tour group was one of the earliest to arrive at the pyramids and there was no lineup to enter.

Good for all ages. ... - Good for all ages. Picked us up at the hotel and we were the first to arrive at the park. Beautiful to see without anyone around. Ricardo was very informative and Juan was an excellent driver.

Recommended Tour - It was a good idea to get there early before the crowds. Felt like a private guided tour. Only about 12 people on our tour. Guides were good. Max and April. Driver was good too. Would definitely recommend Mexican Tales.

Great half day tour with engaging guide. Highly recommend! - We were picked up at our hotel before 7am, stopped by a gas station to pick up food or drinks if we wanted then driven to the Teotihuacan. Along the way our guide Ava, assistant guide Raul offered information & recommendations. Juan was a great driver. An incident with another tour grew our group to 12. Ava was excellent. She managed to give the tour in both English & Spanish seamlessly. Particularly loved arriving at opening time when we were practically the first group to enter the site. We were given a great mix of interesting historical information, time to explore the site and opportunity to take photos. Bonus of a great group from a variety of countries (Canada, USA, Germany, Switzerland & Guatemala). Guides were engaging and answered all questions. Dropped back off before 12:30pm so still a half a day left.

Great Excursion! Go early - Excellent guide that we could understand. Showed us all around the temples/pyramids. We learned lots of interesting facts. Super excursion! Highly recommend. Yes, pickup was early but it was worth it to get there before the hordes. We were among the very first.
