Gracias Javier ! - Try to get Javier as your guide because he is very knowledgeable about the city, its landmarks, history, and culture. He also made sure every passenger had a great experience and was patient/accommodating for passengers who couldn't get breakfast so they could pull out cash. The tour itself does go by quick before its time to leave, so its a good way to feel out and get a taste if you want to stay more time in SMA. Thats what we did and ended up staying the night in SMA (not part of the tour but Javier and Viator made the process seamless).

Great Day Trip to San Miguel de Allende – Long but Worth It - Took a day trip from Mexico City to San Miguel de Allende and overall it was a great experience. The town is beautiful, especially the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. Special thanks to our guides Ara, Javier, and Pedro, who were knowledgeable and kept everything running smoothly. The only drawback is the long travel time and limited hours in San Miguel—it felt a bit rushed. Still, a good option if you’re short on time.

Day Tour of the Colonial City of San Miguel de Allende - When I was in Mexico City, I joined a day tour to the Colonial City of San Miguel de Allende. It was a very beautiful, peaceful and scenic place to visit. San Miguel de Allende is a UNESCO World Heritage colonial city in Guanajuato, Mexico, famous for its preserved Spanish architecture, vibrant arts scene, and rich independence history. The city was founded in 1542, it features steep cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and a mild, high-altitude climate. It is also a popular, walkable cultural hub, renowned for the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and year-round cultural festivals. Our Amigo Tour company guide Barbra was knowledgeable, friendly and excellent in her communication skills to make the entire tour interesting and enriching. If you are planning a trip to Mexico City, I would highly recommend this trip to San Miguel Allende. There are a few tour agencies operating this tour but preferably I would recommend you to choose Amigo Tour.

Wish we had more time - Great tour! But long travel time almost 4 hours per way. Then we only had 4 hours in the town. Quite short because so many things to see and do. We also had to walk from bus and take taxi back to avoid walking back and save time

Important things to know before booking. - That the traveling time is more than the time you get at San Miguel. The van can become uncomfortable because the trip is so long. People need an airplane pillow for sleeping in the van. Bring your own toilet paper because you won’t get enough there. Older people and people with knee problems could find it very difficult to navigate the steps throughout the town. Bring portable charges for the long trip because your phone will die. Bring water, but don’t drink too much because there is only one stop on the way. The return trip is longer due to heavy traffic. Bring a good book.

Will not recommend - It was not worth spending time and money for seeing this place. Guide was sleeping while going in van. Church was closed. Nor a good tour.

Trip got cancelled 12 hours before commencement - Be warned!!! We were cancelled by the tour company 12 hours prior to the tour leaving your plan shattered with the reason cited “logistic issue”. If you don’t want your holiday be ruined, book elsewhere.
