02 of November: A once-in-a-lifetime experience! - Day of the Dead Tour in San Andres Mixquic from CDMX with Vibe Adventures This tour was the closest we could get to an authentic cemetery atmosphere . It was very emotional, with families celebrating their deceased loved ones in a touching way. A once-in-a-lifetime experience! Yes, it was overwhelmingly crowded and lots of traffic, but believe me, it was well worth. The cemetery itself is incredible, especially at night when it is lit up with countless candles, which happens annually on 02NOV. Thanks to our guide Millie who could navigate the crowds. We were very respectful of families. The people of Mixquic are very hospitable as we got invited twice into private homes as the families wanted to show us their own personal altars. One family even gave us homemade tamales! Mixquic is a very beautiful town which could be visited any time of the year!

Day of the Dead at Mixquic - Adriana was an excellent and impressive guide during the busiest time of the year in the most sought after location—dia de Los muertos in Mixquic. Our first hour or so was guided, which is very important because as visitors, it’s important to know the proper etiquette. The last 3 hours we got to venture out. You know you have an excellent tour guide when you can manage a group of 19 and have them all arrive promptly at the correct meeting point. She was kind, communicative, and really knew her stuff! Thank you so much Adriana for such a memorable experience.

Discover and experience firsthand what it’s like to be part of the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico. - We planned our trip to Mexico to ensure we were able experience the Day of the Dead celebrations for children in San Andrew’s Mixquic. The Mexican people have a very different perspective to death and really are passionate about how they respect and honour their relatives. I very much enjoyed seeing families, communities and people come together, open their doors and allow strangers into their homes to experience Día de los Muertos. Experiencing Day of the Dead for Children, was not as full on as the Day of the Dead for Adults. To be honest, I still felt and experienced everything I wanted to see and more by participating in this tour. Adriana our tour guide was very knowledgable and really helped us understand the Mexican cultural differences between non-hispanic people. It’s a long very long day, however really worth it to see and experience the Day of the Dead in Mixquic. I would really recommend everyone watch a movie called Coco (2017) which is a Disney/Pixar film about Miguel, a young boy in Mexico who loves music despite his family's ban on it, leading him to accidentally journey to the vibrant Land of the Dead on Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) to discover his family's musical legacy and the true meaning of family, memory, and following dreams. After seeing this movie, it really helped me connect the dots.

Mixed Emotions - Have mixed emotions about this review. My original booking looked like I would be picked up and dropped off at my hotel. But communication in the day prior indicated at central pickup spot, so I had time to clarify and get to the right spot (luckily). But the crowds are so extreme that there was no chance of getting any meaningful “tour” and our group setting fell apart almost immediately. So in reality, I paid a lot of money for the round trip transportation. I suspect I could have hired a private driver for less. Once there, the crowds were crazy (even “early”) so the experience of the event that was probably once a very special town is more like Disney World or Mardi Gras if you know what I mean? Too many people to enjoy the overall experience. Glad I went, don’t think I would recommend it to a friend.

Horrible experience - This experience was the worst. I didn’t choose my location pick up until after I made my reservations. So a couple days before the trip I put my hotel pickup. The hotel pick up was at the Holiday in and express. I confirmed that on the app. So the day of the adventure I look at my app from you guys and it still shows pick up at holiday in expresss. I go to send a message saying that we are waiting in the lobby to get ZERO response. I emailed and sent the driver a message over and over. I was asking if I could take an uber that we would be a half hour late with no response we get to the pick up location 35 min. Late to have nobody from our excursion still there. I want my full refund.

Bad experience - I have always used app of your competition for travel, but this time in Mexico I used Viator for the first time. I wanted to make a change but bad response, they took more than 24 to respond. Viator bad tracking In the end the agency called me the tour was modified because they informed me that the guide could not go Like my wife and I if we wanted to live the experience of the day of the dead we agreed to return 2 people and a 20% discount. In the end came the refund for a different amount
