An Amazing Cooking Experience - I had an amazing time with the cooking class. The host was absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, and personable to me and the other participants. The experience was great from the start when we were met by our amazing host. She took us through the local market and explained the importance of the market in the neighborhood. When we returned to the place, we were greeted with a clean and amazing kitchen. The rest of the experience was such a great one. Our host was diligent in explaining proper techniques, practices, and ways to make sure we make everything correctly. While we were making everything, we also learned about the history of food in Mexican culture and got excellent recommendations of places to check out during our stay in the city. When we finished, we got to eat everything, and it was some of the best food I had on the trip. I will be recommending this class to anyone I know that is looking for things to do in the city during their travel!

Good food, Good drinks - This was a wonderful small tour in a private home that made it even more special. The trip to the market was a highlight as was the opportunity to visit a home and see the Mexican style of architecture

Excellent cooking and cocktail class with great host Jose ! - It was such a fantastic evening, although it seems pricey it’s totally worth it, you get to make 3 corses of delicious food, and 2 amazing cocktails!
Jose was an excellent host.

Engaging and fun! - Wonderful class! I attended with my three adult kiddos, we all love to cook and especially love Mexican cuisine. The class was just the right size, easy to follow. A quick trip to the market, some fun and easy explanation of local food and back to prepare three courses and cocktails. All cooking levels were engaged and the feel was fun and festive. Excellent spread. We enjoyed every moment. We are all excited to make homemade tortillas at home now!

Excellent Experience - I’ve taken five different cooking classes in CDMX and this was one of my favorites. Our instructor was so fun and informative, we all participated equally in the food preparation, the meal was outstanding and the drinks (we added the cocktail option) were delicious. We loved it and would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in learning Mexican cuisine.

Awesome experience! - Chef José led an awesome experience! Having a guide through a market for the first time is helpful, and the dishes we made were super delicious. Definitely learned some techniques I will use at home!

Highlight of our trip! - One of the highlights of our trip! My friends and I got lucky and ended up being the only people in our cooking class, so we basically got a private class for the 4 of us (apparently up to 10 ppl can be in a class). Jose was our chef/teacher and he was so patient with us and taught us so much. The food we made was amazing and we used simple ingredients that you can get anywhere so you can recreate the dishes at home. We made some tacos, soup, enchiladas, and 2 different drinks. So filling and so delicious!! I loved that we got to go to a local market and buy our ingredients, but also learn how to best pick certain vegetables/meat/etc. I highly recommend this!!

A nice way to spend an afternoon but - Chef was sound, super helpful, great at directing the team and had a cracking playlist on too but...
I felt a bit cheated: I paid extra to make cocktails and while they were fine, two margaritas is not what I was expecting from the three Mexican cocktails listed.
The cooking was fun within the group but I didn't learn how to cook in a different way, nor how to prep the meals – something I look for – as I was mostly on "cocktail duty".
So, yes, we ate well, yes I made tasty drinks, but the experience was less hands-on than I had hoped and not as listed.
