Highly recommended tour - This small group tour was impressive. Our guide and driver were excellent, informative and a lot of fun. Cholula and Puebla are amazing cities. The amount of history present in both cities is imposing. The drive from Mexico City is really nice. You get to see amazing scenery, very different from the Valley of Mexico. There is plenty of information in addition to personal exploration of each site we visited.

Educational and fun! - This tour is a small group tour in a comfortable large van which allows a more personalized visit versus a large tour. The pick up was very nice and the drive from Mexico City to Cholula and Puebla was wonderful. We had plenty of time to explore each site we visited. Luis, our guide, gave us lots of information on each place we visited. Puebla is an amazing city, it is gorgeous.

Smooth and pleasant tour - We reserved our tour through Trip Advisor and were immediately contacted by Interliv Travel, the partner company which provided the service. We were picked up at our Airbnb flat punctually at 7:30am and left Mexico City after picking up other fellow travellers. The drive to Cholula and Puebla was smooth with nice Mexican music playing on the background. Our bilingual guide, Julio Cesar, explained details of the tour as we travelled. First, we went to Cholula where we visited the amazing church of Tonanzintla where one finds marvellous indigenous-oriented ceiling and wall decorations. After visiting the main church at the top of the former Aztecan pyramid, we headed for Puebla. We had lunch at a local restaurant and that was the only part of the trip we didn’t like. For our taste, the food left a lot to be desired. After lunch, we visited the church of Santo Domingo and the Cathedral. Then, our guide left us to stroll around on our own for about 90 minutes. We appreciated the opportunity. We left Puebla shortly after 4pm and Carlos, our driver, brought us back to CDMX in his smooth driving style. Along the way, the guid played a wonderful animation film called Coco which magically portrays the feuds and bonds of a Mexican family. The film nicely completed our tour experience. We were dropped off at our place shortly after 6pm and were very happy with the tour. We highly recommend it.

Good introduction to Puebla - Awesome trip, pick up by my hotel. The ride was not bad at all, we had a pit stop and then off to Cholula, we got about an hour to explore the church, wish it was a bit more but in return we got to see La Capilla which was amazing. We got to walk eat and around Puebla. We got an hour of free time and another pit stop on our way back. It was a nice introduction to Puebla. Definitely will go back to further explore. We had Carlos as our guide and Ricardo as our driver. Carlos was informative and respectful of everyone.

Cholula Puebla Small Group Tour - We started at 8:15 with pre-arranged pickup at our AirBnB which we appreciated. Our driver, Raul, was very pleasant and capable. The drive is close to 2 hours over very bumpy roads. Our group was a set of 10 people who were both Spanish and English speaking. The van had seating for 12 and was a tight fit.
Our guide, Jose Luis, was excellent at explaining the history in both languages and taking us around. The cities of Cholula and Puebla were wonderful and we enjoyed the trip but would make a few recommendations.
1) Make sure to bring water and snacks as none are provided. We didn't end up eating until 3pm
2) The climb to the top of the cathedral in Cholula is not easy and not for everyone.
3) In Puebla, everyone in our group was extremely disappointed with the food at Casa Real Poblana. It is a buffet and had limited offerings and what was offered was not good. It would be better to allow people to find their own food and have some free time and rejoin at a central meeting point.
We arrived back in MXDC around 7:30 and since we were the last drop off didn't get home until 8:30 so a long day

Nice tour - Very comfy van, all perfectly on time, kind team.
Not the most in-depth explanations. They seemed to have changed the schedule a little bit, spontaneously. We still saw great locations, just adressing it would be nice

Bus size and seating configuration can be an issue for those suffering from claustrophobia. - It should be noted that the bus used by the tour operator is a 18 seater with 6 rows. Last 2 rows are on elevated platform deck, above the window line. Hence you are sitting in a dark tube without any outside view. You only get a sense of motion in the bus by looking at front window, which is down and below in the front. That was a major problem for us, since we are both claustrophobic. Fortunately there were empty seats in front, so we managed to move there. But it can be an issue. Other buses of similar size have all seats on same level, so you can atleast get a view on both side windows. Also when the tour is not completely filled, they have one guide attending both english speaking and spanish speaking clientelle.

Could be better, but not bad - Overall the tour was fine. The driver and tour guide were really good. But the trip ended up being around 13 hours with only maybe 3ish hours of actual sightseeing. We also booked this tour mostly to see the archeological zone of the Cholula pyramid, but it’s closed on certain days, which we happened to go on. The archeological zone also stops selling tickets at 4:00pm and we didn’t arrive until after that, so it wouldn’t have mattered if we went on the right day. If you enjoy seeing mostly churches, then this is a good tour option. P.S. - I’d recommend skipping the included restaurant and going to one of the other options on the main strip in Puebla.

Not recommended - Lack of professionalism. - While the idea of the tour sounds good, you have to consider that the transport is quite uncomfortable, the combi possibly for reasons of the route (apart from the fact that the driver does not slow down before any well) has practically no suspension and after 5 hours of travel between round trip you arrive with the cervical stiff and sore. On the return trip (where they were already noticeable in a hurry) we almost collided twice (100% because of our vehicle). The balance between the tour of which one is interested, and what the guide is interested in that we will buy in local "friends" is very poorly balanced and with too biased comments... and that certainly pays the time to go to the tourist attractions... where 3 out of four churches arrived when there was mass then the tour to visit was very affected. The times of masses are fixed, they are not surprise masses, that can be foreseen before. I think it lacked professionalism, and it is not a cheap service so that at the end of truncated visits and almost crashing, they ask you to collaborate with a tip.
