Out of this world - Stunning. So stunning, I actually wept when we got inside. Not only is the veiled Christ all that it is hyped up to be but two other very big statues are extraordinary. The skill of the sculptors is superb. Added to that is the gorgeous painted ceiling.

The Veiled Christ - Very interesting and very nice. The only negative thing is that unlike all the other visits we made including the archaeological museum you can not photograph it even without flash. They force you to buy the book with the works. You can see that it is a private site and they want to make maximum money. Too bad because everyone has their own way of seeing and hearing works of art.

ESOTERISM, FREEMASONRY and PATHOS - IMPRESSIVE! Always fascinating, this space, but the restorations over time and the extremely inadequate lighting make it lose the charm of the past. Even recently with the visitors inside I confirm that the whole thing, detracts from creating a certain Pathos, but it is always a discovery for the visitor. The VEILED CHRIST of Sammartino is a very particular and highly virtuosic work and not only, because it shows the dead Christ lying, with a transparent marble veil on it. Beautiful and unique! Maybe I was one of the first to see it in the '60s with candlelight. But I ADVISE YOU TO DEVOTE AN HOUR OF TIME TO THIS EXCEPTIONAL NAPOLITAN!

10 at the Chapel 0 at services - The Chapel is a treasure chest of Art and Esotericism unique in the world. What is disgusting is that, among the vigilantes, there are people who are rude, arrogant, conceited, people who are breathing down your neck fearing that you might do something not allowed, the antithesis of Good Service, in short! I, who am an expert in Art and who, therefore, do not need a paper guide, neither human, nor audio guide, I accompanied a group of relatives from outside the region on a visit. We were all the time of the visit with the eyes of certain "guard dogs", ready to call us back for nothing, very attentive to what I was saying, evidently upset by the fact that we had not bought any guide. For the Christmas period they invented that each visit lasts a maximum of 25 minutes, so they can let in streams of paying visitors, so they can make cash (there is nowhere written this strange limitation). At the stroke of the 25th minute the "guard dogs", with rude ways, push you out and it seems that, with their chanting, they want to elicit a reaction. If you happen to us, stay calm and smile, so, as we say in Naples, "if they magna 'o........".
