• Pompeii Archaeological Park - In the morning, depart with your driver to reach Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most visited Roman site after the Colosseum in Rome. Meet your tour guide and discover that everything here is preserved, brought back to life after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Centuries of archaeological excavations have uncovered houses, shops, squares, brothels, and even entire human figures preserved by the lava from Vesuvius’ eruption. Marvel at Roman architecture in the stunning villas (the most famous being Villa dei Misteri) and public buildings such as the Forum, the Macellum (Market), and the amphitheater.
• Parco Archeologico di Ercolano - Next, visit Herculaneum, the city that, according to legend, was founded by Hercules. Although the houses here are smaller than those in Pompeii, they are no less fascinating. Herculaneum is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Additionally, you can ask the driver to make a stop at a local factory to observe the production process of Cameos and Corals, an ancient Roman art form.

• Pompeii tickets – ID requirement: It is mandatory for all participants to carry a valid photo ID on the day of the tour. The personal details provided at the time of booking (e.g. first and last name) must exactly match those on the ID, as Pompeii tickets are nominative and non-transferable. Local staff at the archaeological site are entitled to check IDs at the entrance. In case of discrepancies, spelling errors or missing information, they may refuse entry to one or more participants at their sole discretion. Discover Italy cannot be held responsible for any refusal of entry due to incorrect or incomplete data provided by the participants, and no refund will be due in such cases.
• Weather, clothing and itinerary: The tour takes place in all weather conditions. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing an umbrella in case of rain. Any waiting times are expected and are not dependent on the organization. The guide reserves the right to modify the itinerary if necessary.

We also highly recommend using WhatsApp. Discover Italy cannot be held responsible if participants are unreachable. When contacting us, please provide your name, ship name, and tour title.
• Timing and punctuality: Please arrive at the meeting point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled tour departure time. Tours and transportation services must leave on schedule to guarantee the full experience and on-time return to the ship. A maximum waiting time of 15 minutes is allowed in case of participant delays. After this time, staff may leave the meeting point and begin the tour. Participants not present will be considered NO SHOW and no refund will be due.
