Don't miss this! - Very worthwhile and interesting tour. Definitely should be included with any trip to Naples. The history is fascinating and the engineering is a marvel, from ancient times through WWII.

Very interesting tour - I quite enjoyed this tour of underground Naples covering its Greek era cisterns and buried the Roman temple. Note that there are a lot of steps, dark passages, and times where you need to walk on your side. Not for the claustrophobic.

Underground - It was fascinating to see a whole underground world and guide was good giving information it was excellent

VERY INTERESTING - We were a group of friends with Italian guide who explained everything very clear for about 2 hours. Spectacular place for its history in different times. Highly recommended.

An experience - An experience unlike any other! Under the city of Naples a separate sradt English leadership difficult to understand, because too many participants.

Visited, nice enough tour but utter chaos getting there. - ‘Skip the line’ is misleading - we waited over 20 minutes to enter while largest groups in another line went right in. Travelers beware - the historical center of Naples is VERY crowded and chaotic and can be overwhelming if you’re not prepared. We did enjoy the tour once we got it and the added pizza at the end was a nice add-on. Would recommend if you’re in the city visiting already. We took the train from Sorrento (about an hour and a half) so not sure I’d recommend a wasted beautiful day in just this. (Also worth noting in the chaos, I used the ‘contact your operator’ feature for help….never an acknowledgement or response)

Do not waste the time or money - Your tour guide will make or break this experience, unfortunately, our tour guide broke it. Four years ago I took this tour and it was AMAZING! The tour guide stopped in every room to tell you about the history, point out interesting items, and tell great stories with a sense of humor that made the experience all come together. It was so great that when I had the opportunity to bring my family to Naples the tour was at the top of the list. The tour now is such a horrible disappointment and such a waste of time and money. The guide spoke very briefly at the beginning, very briefly in the middle, and once in the Roman amphitheater. He would stop in rooms to make sure everyone was together but otherwise say nothing. He would just mumble through an answer to a question that came up along the way. It was awful. There is a place in the amphitheater that you can easily step up and see the “new” apartment built right over the old, he never even pointed it out. Most in the tour never even saw it, he just moved on. He did not give any history as to why they stopped using the water system or when. The WW2 history is just barely mentioned. It felt like before this tour had licensed, (and as part of the license) well educated tour guides. Now they just have hourly employees paid to walk large crowds of tourists through underground spaces. Another couple we met on the tour also said their friend had taken the tour before and it was a “must do!” This tour walks the same steps, sort of, but sadly it is no longer the same tour. Save your money and try somewhere else.

Book this tour with someone else - They literally sent an address is Piazza San Gaetano, 68 which is incorrect. We arrived at the indicated time to that address (on Google Maps) which actually leads you to some other location that is a 30 minute walk from the actual location. They could double check the information they send out or indicate the arrival location with coordinates and not a random address. We found out where the location was because someone that works in a restaurant nearby the incorrect location mentioned to us that this has happened before. Besides missing the tour thanks to their mistake, they refused the refund. I would recommend booking this tour with someone else since there are others that provide this service. Do a better job DINNEROUND.
