- Via dei Tribunali - Known as the superior decumanus of Naples, Via dei Tribunali, named after the 16th-century Flower of Justice, offers a glimpse into the daily life of Neapolitans. Beneath the street lies the underground city of Naples, which served as an aqueduct until the late 1800s. Along this route, visitors can find the church of the skulls, the monumental Gothic church of San Lorenzo Maggiore, and the Pious Mount of Mercy, featuring a magnificent painting by Caravaggio.
- Spaccanapoli - The lower decumanus of Naples, this long street appears to “split” the city into two equal halves, retaining the layout of the ancient Greek city. Along the way, one can admire noble palaces, Piazza San Domenico with its monumental church, remnants of Greek and Roman structures, art shops, and street food, offering a true “Neapolitan” experience.
- Duomo di Napoli - The grand cathedral of Naples, dedicated to the Assumption, stands at the top of Via Duomo. Constructed by Angevin kings in the 1300s, it now boasts a Baroque style. Inside, the precious ampoules of Saint Januarius’ blood, the city’s patron saint, are safeguarded, with the blood miraculously liquefying three times a year. Beneath the main altar lie the saint’s bones. On the left side are the old cathedral, now the church of Santa Restituita, and the baptistery of San Giovanni in Fonte, featuring a beautiful mosaic on the vault.
- Via San Gregorio Armeno - This street connects Via dei Tribunali to Spaccanapoli and is renowned for its nativity workshops, depicting scenes of Jesus’ birth. It also features statues of famous figures, from world leaders to athletes, singers, and actors, all surrounded by the protective horn against the evil eye!
