From the bustling streets of Naples to the summit of Italy’s renowned volcano, this half-day Vesuvius tour is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. Mount Vesuvius is globally recognized for its catastrophic eruption in 79 AD, which obliterated the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, and it continues to dominate the skyline today.
After a late morning pickup from a central meeting point, participants will be transported out of the city to enjoy a light lunch with the group before beginning the ascent. The tour includes a 500-meter hike to the summit. Upon reaching the top, visitors can follow the trail around the impressive crater, take in breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples to the east and west, and gaze into the depths of the dormant volcano.
If crater access tickets are unavailable, the tour will still proceed up to 1,000 meters above sea level to appreciate the scenery. No full or partial refunds will be issued in this situation.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
