Vineyard Walk
Stroll through urban vineyards situated between Catania and Etna. This unique urban trek features rare dry-stone buildings and walls from the 19th century, along with an oak wood that once formed a large forest above Catania, now reclaimed by the growing city. If visiting with children, they will receive their own treasure map. Be sure to wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, tennis shoes are ideal!
Palmento Visit
Upon returning from the field, explore our 18th-century Palmento (traditional Sicilian winery), one of the largest and best-preserved in the area, still featuring its large chestnut wood barrels and the grape pressing machine from 1790. A rare gem to behold!

This is a distinctive wine tourism experience situated in a natural setting on Etna, encircled by the expanding city. Here, the decision was made to revive the historical family Etna viticulture, a choice that goes against the trend in an area increasingly filled with constructions and facilities.
The motivation stems from a deep love for an eight-generation family property and the desire to demonstrate that an alternative use of land is both possible and viable, even within the city’s suburbs, which still maintain the character of a typical Etna lava field.
Visitors can explore the vineyards at their own pace via the self-guided vineyard trail. Take the time to enjoy the walk, pause at viewpoints, and learn from the information boards. Immerse yourself in the austere atmosphere of the Palmento (historical winery) from 1790, which remains largely in its original form.
Finally, indulge in the cuisine! Resident chef Leonardo is eager to delight guests with a street food platter.
