Amazing 3000 metre hike with Etnaesagonal 😊 - I’m lost for words at how brilliant this tour was! My partner and I went for the 3000 metre hike after talking to the lovely Naomi, who helped to advise us on the excursions Etnaesagonal offered. We arrived at 10am and met Luca (our friendly and knowledgeable guide), who guided us to the cable car and then through our adventure. The cost was €112 per person, including jackets, shoes, helmet, cable car and guide. The hike was roughly 3 hours 30 minutes, and included a perfect amount of rest stops for scenic views and lunch. We passed through lava tunnels, over and down inactive volcanoes, felt the warmth of the earth beneath us, saw the smoke/steam and of course, got an amazing view of Etna herself, as well as the clouds beneath us from the 3000 metre point. Luca was an amazing guide, sharing his extensive knowledge with us and making sure everyone was safe and happy throughout. We have only great things to say about this experience and would absolutely recommend to anyone else who’s interested in natural beauty, history and fitness. The warmth and friendliness of the whole team really added the atmosphere, making us feel comfortable and welcomed from the moment we started planning our tour - especially as we are young, English and didn’t know much Italian! 😊 10/10. To be redone..... - Unique experience. The lava flow seen up close was really exciting, both for us who live at the foot of Mount Etna but especially for our relatives who came from Turin and who have long wanted to do this tour. Nuccio, very professional and empathetic with the group, guided us impeccably. To be repeated definitely and I emphasize that to climb is necessary and important the presence of a guide. It's not just a mountain hike but a trip on a volcano!! A volcano that is alive and unimaginable! Unique!! - Very good organization, we got the necessary amenities such as helmet, hiking boots and a windbreaker so we experienced the trip as very comfortable. Our guide Luca gave us a professional explanation and immediately put us at ease. He didn’t take any risks to ensure our safety and he took into account the different walking paces. There were often moments of rest where he gave us time to take pictures and give information about the volcano. We could also drink enough and have a snack. The view was breathtaking, we took beautiful pictures. It was absolutely worth doing during our stay in Sicily!
