In search of the next adrenaline rush, I embarked on the Qatar Gold Dune Safari in Mesaieed. With dune bashing, camel riding, and sandboarding, this adventure promised the perfect blend of thrill and authenticity.

As a former professional athlete, I’ve experienced my fair share of adrenaline-pumping moments, but nothing quite prepared me for the Qatar Gold Dune Safari. The adventure began with Mujahid, our guide and driver, who picked us up in a 4x4 that seemed more suited for a Formula 1 track than the desert. His driving was a masterclass in precision and control, a warm-up on the tarmac before the real show began on the dunes.
The first stop was the camel camp, where I met my noble steed for a brief but memorable ride. Five minutes was just enough to appreciate the experience without needing a chiropractor. The camel ride was followed by a delightful cultural exchange over tea, where Mujahid’s playful confession about the milk had us all in stitches.
Dune Bashing and Sandboarding
The main event, dune bashing, was a heart-pounding spectacle.
