Overpriced and not meeting expectations - This 5 day trip offers nice views and visits to some great sites. I did meet nice people. However, there is much room for approvement. I shared my positive and negative experiences with Desert Life. The tour was confirmed to me as luxury, but the accomodation was rather basic to boring and with one dinner as a good exemption the dinners were unimpressive includig a boring plain food buffet. There is lack of communication about departure times, and every day you will have different drivers of whome some lack communication skills. I contacted Desert Life quite a few times and received wrong information about departure and check out times, which kept me one morning waiting for over 3 hours in my hotel for the driver to arrive. For the tours, the desert camp was near a construction side for new hotels. The offered camel rides were too short, the morning tour not even went into the dunes but was a 10 minutes act from the (old) tents to the cars. Some sights like the rose valley we only passed from a distance. Near Ifrane our driver got into a screaming argument with peanut sellers (for feeding the monkeys). His mate kept him off from fighting. In sum the organization was dissapointing and the hotels, food and trips below expectations raised at Desert Safari’s website. And certainly not up to standard, given the heavy price tag. Think twice before you book this trip.
