Get on an Explorer Ferry across the Mersey - Located at Pier Head (next to the Museum of Liverpool and directly behind the Beatles statues) visitors can go on a 50 minute explorer cruise on the Mersey Ferry (like that famous song). Tickets can either be booked direct with the Ferry company inside the building or if you are doing the Hop on bus, you can add it as a combo which lasts 48 hours. The Ferry itself is hard to miss with its zany zig zag patterns and can be boarded behind the building. The Explorer runs every hour on the hour from 10am - 4pm. There are opportunities to purchase refreshments on board and the ferry also has parts inside for those who don’t want to be in the wind. The Ferry also makes one stop at Seacombe which allows visitors to explore Eureka. There is commentary available on the journey which can be accessed by scanning the QR code on tables. The Mersey Ferry is a must for anyone visiting Liverpool.

Lovely introduction to Liverpool! - We have never been to Liverpool before, so what better way to start than hopping on a Mersey Ferry? It was just lovely — relaxed, scenic, and a brilliant way to get your bearings and soak up that famous waterfront! Staff were all very friendly and jovial! The commentary runs through an app, which worked well and added some really interesting context. If you're visiting for the first time, do this first.

Good value of money - Good value for money spent. I went with my partner and friends and I will tell you this was the highlight of our trip. Cost £14 for 50 minutes ride. Lovely staff, clean cruise, you can download the audio tour from the table of the cruise boat. It was a lovely and fun exper. 10/10

Good tour - We enjoyed the informative audio guide which is free to listen to via qr code. The boat itself was very clean and tidy. Even though it was wet and windy when we were aboard it was still enjoyable. I would suggest putting layers on if that kind of a day as it was very cold on board (not the ferry companies fault)

Worth it to say you've done it. - Pleasant staff throughout booking and onboard. Plenty of room inside and out,and some lovely views along the way Were given a handy route map to help pinpoint buildings and points of interest, but perhaps some general audio would have been nice as well. Only a quick burst of Ferry Across the Mersey which was a shame.

Meh - Felt a bit let down. Was more of a go across, pick people up, spin round and come back. Didn't feel like a cruise more like a taxi.
