This experience is a walking tour through the most iconic buildings in the heart of Merida. During the tour, participants will feel as if they are traveling back in time, learning about the city’s history and the buildings visited. In addition to discussing these significant sites, the tour will cover topics such as cenotes, their importance and formation, Mayan Aluxes, the Equinox, and much more! Personal and urban stories will also be shared.

The best walking Merida walking tour! - I had such a great tour with Shirley and Mike - I learned so much about Merida and its deep history. They explained everything in great detail, especially from the perspective of the Mayans, away from the colonial lens. I greatly appreciate educating us visitors about the hardships Yucatecans went through in the past, especially as someone who is also affected by the long history of Spanish colonialism.
There are many tours to choose from but THIS is the one to book! You’ll even get notes so you can go back to all info from the tour. They are super thorough and will go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable and enjoy. You’re guaranteed to have a great and enriching time at Merida’s historic centre. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mérida walking tour. - Shirley was a great tour guide. As the only one on the group, we were able to have amazing conversations and I learned so much about the city and history. I highly recommend this tour.

Thank you Shirley! - This experience was amazing! I learnt so much about Merida and it's history. Shirley was such a light! She even recommended that I visit Barranquilla since I love Colombia so much, she was super knowledgeable and super sweet. This was exactly what I wanted and it definitely enhanced my solo trip! Excellent walking tour!! Highly recommend!! - This walking tour was absolutely amazing!
I highly recommend anyone who might want to learn more about Mèrida and the Yucatan Peninsula to take this tour!!
I was surprised, yet very thankful that I ended up doing this tour alone with Shirley (Duck) . She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and spent time answering all of my questions.
I loved the locations we explored, as well as her segment about the traditional dishes in the Yucatan. That way I knew what to eat while I was in the area.
I suggest doing this tour when you first arrive to Mèrida so you have more of an insight during your trip.
My only regret is that I couldn’t stay in that area for a longer period of time to participate in more of the activities that Mike and Duck have to offer!!

historical center of Merida. Shirley shared information about history and culture and we learned fun facts about each place we saw. I would

Shirley and Mike were the most wonderful guides and hosts whilst we were in Merida. - Do not hesitate to book if you are looking to learn about Merida. Shirley and Mike made the tour so special and we had smiles on our faces the entire time. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and have fun whilst learning all about the wonderful city of Merida, we can only say good things and a huge thank you to them both. The best tour we’ve ever ever done. Highly recommend!

Mike and Shirley are Awesome! - Shirley and Mike were fantastic guides full of knowledge they were eager to share with our group. We walked around the historical center of town and visited a couple museums. We learned about local lore and history of the area and the people that make up this beautiful city.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to gain more insight of the history of central Merida.
