10/10 would recommend! - I had a wonderful time on this excursion! The driver and guide were wonderful, and made the experience as thorough and thoughtful as possible. We started off the day at 6 am where they provided us with sandwiches and coffee. We then proceed to Chichen Itza and got there right when it opened. There was zero crowd and we got to take amazing pictures, along with a tour. We then went to a family own cenote - one of the prettiest I have ever seen -followed by a traditional meal afterwards. We ended the day at the yellow town, which was also pretty (although not as pretty as the ruins or the cenote). They also gave us water bottles all day which was much needed! Overall, I would highly recommend!

Great Day! Chichén Itza, Cenote, Lunch & Izamal - Very organized fun tour with Delio and driver Luis. Getting to Chichén Itza when it opened was amazing. The tour was well organized, free time, cold water supplied and knowledgeable conversation with Delio! The cenote is a highlight. Uncrowded with a lovely family serving a delicious lunch. The yellow city is a perfect ending to a fun day. Recommend highly.

A great experience with a... - A great experience with a great tour guide Delio. Chichen Itza was beautiful, and we made it there right when they opened to avoid a lot of the crowds and heat. The lunch was delicious (with a great vegetarian option), the cenote was a nice refreshing way to cool down. Stopping Izamal was the icing on the cake at the end of a great day.

Having a guide for just a... - Having a guide for just a short time around chichen itza was really beneficial as we found out things we wouldn’t have ordinarily discovered. Our guide was lovely so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and attentive. We felt very well looked after throughout the whole day.

Mayan Magic - Perfect day! Experiencing Chichen Itza with our knowledgeable and personable guide Delio was amazing. And swimming in the private cenote was magically. The delicious handmade luncheon and the side trip to Izamal the yellow city just added to the pleasures of the day. It was a long excursion, but Delio had it very well organized. All in all a 5-star experience.

Amazing! - Wonderful trip! It was planned perfectly, and worth getting up early to drive to Chichén Itza! The cenote was amazing, and our group had it all to ourselves. The food was great, and Izamal was the perfect amount of time. We had a fantastic time!

Even better than expected - It's a long day that started at 6am, but is well worth it. Chichen Itza was amazing and it was great getting there before the crowds and heat. The tour hit all the highlights and areas. It would have been nice to have a bit more time to wonder, but the agenda was packed so had to focus on the main area. I originally didn't care so much about the cenote visit, but it turned out to be marvelous. It was found by the homeowner while doing some work so it was only the 4 of us on the tour who swam. The home cooked lunch provided by the family was delicious and one of my favorites from our Mexico trip. Izamal was interesting, but not much to see beyond the yellow buildings so an hour there was perfect. There was also time to climb their pyramid and get a much-needed cool popsicle. Deliu (spelling?) was a great guide and host.

I'd stay away from this company! - Unfortunately this ended up being a bit of a nightmare for me. I was very excited to go to Izamal and Chichen Itza, this day trip was the first thing I booked when I arrived in Merida for my trip and I was very excited. I followed all of the directions in the booking, and in the messages I was sent, and made sure to arrive extra early, but I was not picked up at the cathedral like I was supposed to be. Instead, I was left sitting out there alone for over 30 minutes at an obscenely early hour. When I reached out to Viator support I was given a phone number for the actual tour provider, but even though I called about 15 times, nobody ever answered the phone or reached back out to me. So I didn't even get to go on the tour 😞 Unprofessional to say the least! Luckily I was able to rebook something for the same morning through Airbnb experiences and it ended up being amazing. Small group, only three of us and our guide, and even though I missed Izamal and was very upset about it initially, I think it was way better that I didn't go with this big tour provider that clearly doesn't care about their customers. I also had to fight pretty hard to get my money back which was disappointing. 0 out of 10, would not recommend! Book with a different company, or a book through Airbnb
